Re: my blog about wind power
Tue, April 15, 2008 - 3:28 PMYou mean there's actually "environmentalists" who still oppose wind power? Are these the same ones supporting nuclear energy? -

Re: my blog about wind power
Tue, April 15, 2008 - 4:54 PMTechnically, I don't think they really ARE environmentalists.
That is, they are not protesting based upon damage to the environment such as animal endangerment or destruction of old-growth forests, or the like.
They are protesting on aesthetics.
The use "environmentalist" as a banner to make it sound like they have a point beyond "not in my backyard."
And yes, some of the alleged environmentalists who oppose wind do support nuclear. -

Re: my blog about wind power
Wed, April 16, 2008 - 3:05 AMYou definitely need to call them on their bullshit (Which you may be doing; I'll read your blog in a minute or two). -

Re: my blog about wind power
Fri, April 18, 2008 - 1:05 AMThey are not enviromentalists. They're big oil representatives. Understandably there is a need for looking out for economics, bird migration patterns, etc. BUT I would rather have a mix of wind, solar, methane gas, etc as far as renwewable energy goes.
