learned something new

Okay, so maybe y'all already know about this...

But, you can make a gasoline similar product from soybeans, that works in all gas powered vehicles. And, 20% of Brazil's diesel (sp?) fuel comes from the sap of the cariboa (sp?) tree. It takes five hours to drain the trees sap and you can put it right into the truck tank, and no damage to the tree.

So, that's my latest info on other energy sources.

Yes, tree sap. It's what I learned while at Animal Kingdom's planet watch area. It was fascinating.

Do they have to cut down more trees now? Seems like it would be sticky too. I'm cringing at the thought of filling up at the tree sap station. I don't even like it when my hands get greasy eating fried chicken. lol j/k This is interesting though. I wonder if we can find a link to some good info on this?

They don't have to cut down the trees to get it. It takes five hours to drain a tree, it doesn't hurt it, and they use it in their diesel engines. I thought it was pretty amazing.

I also got a recipe for insect repellent that doesn't hurt plants or animals, not even the insects...it just keeps them off my ROSES! 1 gallon water, 2.5 T baby shampoo, 2.5 T cooking oil. Shake well and spray.
