Just created this tribe. Not much here yet besides this post and the main picture. My hope is that it will grow into something revolutionary & amazing. I have always been interested in alternative energy sources & see this as an opportunity for myself and others to learn more. Cheers improving the health of all people & the world as a whole. In the face of assured destruction whether it's too late or not these energy sources may be the only hope the inhabitants of Earth have for a possible future. George Bush is making this special visit to Sacramento on Earth Day to pretend that he supports alternatives to the US addiction to oil. Meanwhile, the Bush administration is waging a war for oil in Iraq, has blocked the Kyoto Protocol, and continues to push for oil drilling in the Arctic, among other affronts to the planet.
Let's show up to tell him in person that we need REAL alternatives on Earth Day – an end to resource wars, higher government fuel-efficiency standards, an end to corporate subsidies for oil and gas companies that are making record profits, and real incentives for clean car technologies like plug-in hybrids, biodiesel and electric cars that are available today.
