Amani still has no visa! Neither does Dina, and since she cannot go, Raqia does not want to go, even though she got her visa. What a mess. I am glad I did not go , as I would be upset! I wonder how the IBDC is going to handle this? Anyone heard anything?

I thought it was interesting that Aunt Rockie chimed in to remind us that the Ahlan Wa Sahalan festival in Cairo had a tough start, too, but they revised themselves, and now today is the biggest in the world. So, I do understand his anger, as he cares deeply about our dance, and it does make us ALL look bad. But I do trust that next year things will be much better, and I would like to go! What other place can I interview Amani and Dina at the same time!?

Sat, August 4, 2007 - 6:55 AMI just got an email from Amani saying that her visa was issued, but late. However, it's over on Monday, so I have no idea how they are going to work this.
Damn these work visas, the whole thing is ridiculous! Why do the artists have to suffer for the stupidity of others?
