Yes, that's right! Amani *may be* teaching at the International Belly Dancing Convention this August in Las Vegas!!!

They will announce on March 1st who will be teaching/performing there. You can fill out an inquiry form on their website to be added to their email list. Also, there will be several competitions, open stages, i.e. opportunities to perform for EVERYONE, and lots and lots of shopping!

One of our tribe members here, Aradia, is on the committee for this convention!! Yeah, Aradia!!! Thanks so much for helping to make this happen!

They have announced that Lebanese dance will be represented there, so let's hope that it's Amani!!!

It will be hotter than blazes in Vegas during the first week of August, but inside the casinos you won't feel a thing :) I think we will be so busy dancing, we won't notice the hot weather!!!

I definitely want to make this one!!! It's nice to see Lebanese AND Egyptian styles being included in the same convention. It truly blows my mind that at the Egyptian festivals in Cairo they allow American Tribal, but not Lebanese style. Here's to us Americans paving the way for belly dance in the future, and for being proactive about getting rid of prejudice and racism.
