Belly Dancing in Lebanon...

I am traveling to Beirut next Feb/March. I would love to belly dance while I'm there. Does anyone know of anyone who has danced there? Or does anyone have any information on the belly dance scene there? Thanks!

    You need a work permit for that. At least officially... I know an American dancer who worked there without permit, but if she had got cought, both she and the restaurant owner would have been in trouble.

    Apparently the quality of dancing in nightclubs and restaurants has gone down in the last few years. So it's probably not something you want to be associated with...

    Enjoy the great town, the shopping etc. and take some lessons.
