but it s supposed to be worth the money for saida s and amar s part, which are said to contain unique teaching.
also amar s new choreogrphy instructional on nancy aajram pop song is supposed to be great too.

I would like to see a dvd by Amar Gamal. I would definitely buy it.

I went to one of her workshops at Raqs Britannia. Although it was hard work, it was great to go beyond one's usual limits.

She is vey talented. I couldn't believe how petite ....she was. She was taller than me, though ; ).

She used balletic combination techniques, as well as helping feel very grounded and earthy. We covered many types of stylish confident walks, shimmies, layered moves

She's very enthusiastic and a great motivator.. i loved her veil work, very strong, controlled and utterly feminine.

You could see how well-trained and fit she was. Very inspiring!
I look forward to seeing her dvd!

That would be great! I'd love to see her do a set of instructonal dvds.

I have to agree with everyone, her hip movements are so unique and exquisite. I have to say I am jealous of the dancer who got to participate in her workshop! Amar lives in Boston, but for some reason I never hear of her doing a workshop in this area.

I have the DVD, and really love it! It is very Amar, and I love her style! I am a little concerned though that no one caught her boob mishap. Unfortunately it happens to be at a point in the video where she is standing still and talking straight on into the camera. I know this DVD was edited, and watched before printing, and no one caught that!! I thought about contacting Amar, and asking her if she knows her boob is coming out the bottom of her top in her video, but then thought, that it would make much difference the video is already out there, and maybe I am the only one who noticed!

The combinations are very cool - very Amar. I went through all the combos tonight. Lots of leans, her unique moves where she pulls up her leg - hard to describe. Lots of her layered shimmies. Suzy q turns. Very cool - easy to pick up in some cases, challenging in others, just like a real Amar Gamal workshop. some combos went too fast. She would explain once slowly, then have 3-4 rapid runthroughs. I needed more slow runthroughs first but I will just play the DVD over a few times.

After the combinations (which were set to various sundry music, sometimes good for the moves, sometimes bad.), then the combinations are set to the actual music, which made them that much better.

Oh & the warmup is very good as well. Little bit of yoga-esque stuff in there, lots of stretching.
