What a process!

I am guestimating that we are about 85 - 90% complete with instrument tracking...
just a few more details and then we can mix.

Last Friday we had a marathon session with three different players.

First, Preston Booker came into the studio to play some sultry latin guitar tracks for “Okay.” He made my mouth water with delight – such delicious licks! It made Karen and I sway and dance in our seats.

Second, Morgan Cochneur of Skiffle Symphony came in to play some old-time fiddling’ on “Wildwood Flower” and “The Rodeo Clown.” He’s such a story-teller with his instrument – finding just the right phrase and placement of his parts to compliment the words and round out the songs. “The Rodeo Clown” has so much more character now!

Lastly, we had Gary Krohn, violin extraordinaire, play intense and soulful gypsy style violin parts on “It’s Me.” He will be coming in again this Friday to work on “Bump in the Road” and turn it into the epic rock piece it is meant to be.

I can’t wait until our CD is done and we can share it with the world. It’s sounding really good so far, but man, is it a lot of work.

I'll be looking for someone to mix and master it pretty soon. If anyone knows someone good they could refer to me, I would appreciate the information.
