Saturday Sept. 5th...

of course i wanted to be there but to be honest i'm glad that i'm not scrambling for cover to avoid burning in the hot daytime sun, choking on playa stirred up by dust storms... yeah, it might get a little hot and sweaty on the dancefloor but that's the way it's supposed to be!

not that we're gonna spend the entire night all clean and pretty and indoors. we will dance under the recently full moon kicking up a little toxic dust of our own, and we will gladly greet the burning brightness of the morning sun!

some come convene at shine, conveniently close to bart, have a couple drinks dance to some choice beats and find out where the party will wind up next. we won't have art cars but hopefully some caravan can be conjured up to transport us to the next beat!

for those of you in the east bay, don't fret there are ways to get around the bridge being closed! if you feel like it you can drive south to the san mateo bridge and take 101 north into the city or drive north to the richmond bridge and then come into the city over the golden gate. if that seems like too far out of your way to drive, take bart into the city! after midnight bart will be running limited service all night, departing the city from powell st or the embarcadero.

and you thought you'd be stranded....
it is possible to get to the after party location by bus but i will be starting a ride share thread here so hopefully we can pack everyone into cars at shine and caravan there! much more fun than waiting for the bus and assures that you won't miss a beat on the dancefloor! so please, everyone! carpool!

one more thing before you rush off to figure out how you're getting there and what you're going to wear (saturday be prepared for a fine san francisco morning, which of course means a chance of fog)

when going to the afterparty be discreet! do not park at the location, please! there is ample street parking within a couple blocks of the location on side streets so as not to draw the attention of the authorities.

if you see a cruiser going by as you approach the party keep walking until it passes and then double back!

please take your trash with you when you leave! the less trace we leave the better!
