Allegations that US military interrogators tortured Afghan detainees in 2003 in SE Afghan city Gardez at the prison there ( here: tinyurl.com/5sawj2 ) arise from Pentagon documents so say the ACLU ( here: tinyurl.com/5k52vy ),

The recently obtained material suggest that as many as 8 Afghans had complained of mistreatment at the hands of US interrogators.

In 2006 there was a review conducted by the Army CIC ( here: tinyurl.com/5wnyq9 ) that suggested that the US interrogators were not engaging in wrongful conduct and that the interrogations were not the cause of Jamal Nasser’s death.
