That's what GW has accused Obama and Clinton of being . He told the Knesset that they were like the old guard Euros and US who tried to pacify Hitler by offering land to Hitler. He said they are into appeasing terrorists and other violent extremists.
If it weren't so true it'd be funny.

Re: Just Like Pre war America and Europe
Thu, May 15, 2008 - 4:44 PMoh, and Cliffy, exactly what's been offered to "terrorists"?
That's right nothing.
Besides, Condi and Tenant should resign because they said the US should talk to Iran. The right wing dittoheads failed history and don't seem to even know exactly what Chamberlain et al did at Munich in 1938. -

Fri, May 16, 2008 - 9:56 AMCliff, Obama won't talk with Hesbollah or hamas. You're being dishonest.
He's a staunch Israel supporter as well
Even Condi says the US has to talk to Iran
Statement of Senator Barack Obama on the situaton in Lebanon
Chicago, IL | May 09, 2008
Hezbollah's power grab in Beirut has once more plunged that city into violence and chaos. This effort to undermine Lebanon's elected government needs to stop, and all those who have influence with Hezbollah must press them to stand down immediately. It's time to engage in diplomatic efforts to help build a new Lebanese consensus that focuses on electoral reform, an end to the current corrupt patronage system, and the development of the economy that provides for a fair distribution of services, opportunities and employment. We must support the implementation of UN Security Council Resolutions that reinforce Lebanon's sovereignty, especially resolution 1701 banning the provision of arms to Hezbollah, which is violated by Iran and Syria. As we push for this national consensus, we should continue to support the democratically elected government of Prime Minister Siniora, strengthen the Lebanese army, and insist on the disarming of Hezbollah before it drags Lebanon into another unnecessary war. As we do this, it is vital that the United States continues to work with the international community and the private sector to rebuild Lebanon and get its economy back on its feet. -

Dishonest huh?
Fri, May 16, 2008 - 10:40 AMA few years ago when Those groups were softening their rhetoric about denying Israel's right to exist and also making noises about renouncing violence there was a movement seeking to encourage them along that path which did in fact include such language as potentially having dialog with them.
Since then they have reversed those positions and hardened their terrorist stance.
So at one time they were looking like they were about to transition from terrorists to legitimate political entities.
the IRA managed to pull this off.
However, now that they have reversed themselves, HisPigShit and HamAss are just fucking terrorists.
The IRA was a different kind of terrorist entity however. They were engaged in financial warfare demolishing property and buildings seeking to avoid loss of life by telephoning the Brits giving them adequate time to issue an evacuation - too often British police and Scotland yard sat on the information and let people die.
Whether they sat on the info' out of suspicion that it might not be valid info' or what is not a thing that can be determined. I'm sure they got lots of false alarms.
