It is official. . .I am launching a green ribbon campaign to provide support for the people of Iran. They have chosen green as the symbol of their struggle for democracy and justice.

Here's what I am doing. . .

I am putting ribbons on light poles etc on the street, and I am urging people to wear a green ribbon.

I am taking spools of ribbon to some local businesses that are owned by people from Iran and telling them what I am doing. Also, I will be writing letters to the mayors of Arizona cities asking that they have a green ribbon ceremony at city hall or at least tie their own green ribbon on the street lights near city hall. .

I will also look for Iranian student groups next week to discuss the green ribbon campaign with them, and I am going to network with green party locals in my area, and on the internet.

Small gesture perhaps, but at least something to provide moral support. .

If you support this idea, find your local fabric store and pick up a spool of green ribbon. You can pin it to your shirt and tie it to your car's antenna, and tie it around the street light on the corner. .

And it wouldn't hurt to tell your friends and even write to your city's major.

    What's a ribbon do?

Those people are bleeding and dying in the streets.

it's another one of those mass symbolic things that makes everyone feel good but accomplishes nothing.

I don't know if it will spread and it needs to spread to accomplish its aim. The aim is to provide moral support for the people of Iran but also provide moral support for iranian exiles who are very key in this process.

The Iranians I have met in the last few days have been very pleased by what I am doing. This will strengthen their sense of purpose in providing aid and support to those struggling in Iran. That could make all the difference in the world.

Well that's nice. So the ribbon campaign is your way of showing the local Iranians that you think it's nice what the Real Iranians are dying for.
(real meaning they are there doing the bleeding and dying)

And so that if the local Iranians feel better about it that will some how translate to something as yet un known to the "real Iranians."

OK I'll bite. What's the benefit for the people who are doing the bleeding and dying?

Our Narcissist in Chief just said he is appalled at the violence. He used several words to convey some sense of his unhappiness.
And then he said to the Iranians: "So you miserable bastards are on your own." ( paraphrased)
He said that whatever the hell result is it'll be the will of the Iranian people.
He is clearing his path to treating the monster in Iran, whose election was not an election but a massive fraud, as an equal.

So what will that show of support do for those miserable bastards whom the president cares nothing about?

          And as an aside:
He says that he does not want to be used as a tool of the Iranian leadership.
          He already is.
They blamed the USA and the CIA.
Then in an effort to make sure that these accusations are never given wider credit he makes sure that his hands are clean.
Maybe that was their whole game plan in the first place.

Blame that pompous weakling in America that man who never passed a mirror which he didn't stop to admire and he'll bend over backwards to shot that it's not true.
And that way they keep the USA out of Iran.

would you rather we provided the kind of support we did to the Hungarians? Brigade 2506? the Hmong? the Kurds?

            you don't have a practical solution. .

I'd rather execute the unelected few.
Take AwkMyDinnerscold out for a long endless boat ride
Lock the Gard Corps in a steam hut for a few months with some hookers and an endless supply of cold beer
and let the people figure it out from there.
