Under sniper fire

Can you imagine the massive stupidity of a woman who claims to have experience as president ( while never having been president) who while running for office lies saying that she was running head down under sniper fire WHILE under the protection and security of the US military??

I know why she said it: She wants to appear like a tough guy who has "been there."

But to place the US military in the firing line - by lying and saying that the US military allowed a former first lady and Senator to be under enemy weapons fire is an astonishing thing to say.

Ifthere were weapons within 10 miles of that air base they would have had her plane land elsewhere or turn back. The US military would never - not in a million years - allow the scene she described.

And in fact there were cameras a plenty top prove that she is a lying sack of shit who will toss any one - any one at all - under the buss to get elected.

But is she so arrogant so stupid and so massively ignorant as to imagine that she could make that statement on National Network TV and - - get away with it?

I guess it just goes to prove that arrogance and ignorance and stupidity - are not a good combination.

Cliff, can you imagine the field day the Republicans will do with this story if Shrillary becomes the nominee?

    LOL!

Oh God. Yes indeed I can.
Or the criminal Nonsense she pulled with Judge Lambreth, or the perjury she stubborned from Ira Magaziner and then committed herself.
Or the old people she made homeless in the Whitewater scandal . Or the Bank fraud she helped facilitate or the billing records she lied saying that she was illegally padding her bills (but wasn't ) when she was really working on the bank fraud.
It just goes on and on and on.

Obama's problems are not nearly so horrible in range but he's about as crippled as he can be.
He sold the US a bill of goods about who and what he was.
Meanwhile he is a 20 year member of a racist, America hating, Marxist cult of pseudo religious psychopaths.
And when caught he lied and said he didn't know.

And then there are all the convenient flip flopping that Obama has done. He quite literally has reversed himself on some substantial issues. And he's never explained any of it.

I think both are going to be really hard sells.

It seems that she was depending on what so many polticians depend on ..."the memory hole"..the place where issues and incidents go after about 6 weeks in the US. Nobody remembers them, nobody thinks of them anymore, and when they happen again it's as if it's the first time.

The problem with this lie was that it was too detailed. This is the problem with many lies people tell..had she just said "I was in Bosnia and it was dangerous..I heard the gunfire and had to wear a flak jacket"..that would have been fine. It was probably true, but it couldn't be verified except that she was in Bosnia.

No, she gave intricate details...getting off the plane under fire, cancelling the greeting ceremony, running right to the armored car...none of these things happened and she must have forgotten that she was travelling with her daughter, a CBS reporter crew of 1 journalist, 2 camera operators and 1 sound guy. She must have been depending on the laziness of people..who would dig through 12 year old archives to verify this?

Now McCain seems to have made a similar mistake, although the archive is more like 5 months old: Getting panned for his speech on economics yesterday as the press dug up footage of the early rep race in which McCain attacked Giulliani, Romney and Huckabee by saying that the Economy is not the biggest problem america faces, the war is, and he "doesn't know anything about housing or that stuff" and those who say it is the most serious are doing america a disservice...or something along those lines.

Of course, McCains mistake here is not a lie so much as it is poor judgement, or speaking depending on which way the wind blows and getting caught out.

    Clinton simply lied.

What's worse, those who support her and the campaign itself are calling it "an exaggeration" and that she made a mistake remembering....they are scrambling with this lie.

An exaggeration is when you embelish the truth.
A lie is when you contradict the truth.
