Amoration exists because there's a fundamental need in human life to define love. Everything we do is somehow influenced by the choices we make, in the love we show in very real ways through every thought, act, word and deed.
So what do you love? How does it shape you? If everything else faded away what would you hold to as essential in your life?
These questions may seem completely foreign or far too familiar; no answer is right or wrong. What does love mean to you?

Wed, August 15, 2007 - 11:42 PM@ this juncture, of my life & of this evening... i would have to say love is for me a finely balanced wine of fruity agape & heady eros.

Thu, August 16, 2007 - 12:53 PMTo me it means support and community.
If all else was taken away and I still had family and friends that I loved and who loved me, all would be well.
Also, touch and nurturing.
Look at infants who grow up without touch and human contact - they develop differently and completely unsocialized and unable to communicate.
I guess when you get right down to it, these things are really how love is manifested and not what love "is". -

There's many definitions of love on my wiki but none seem to quite get there. Almaas comes closest at grasping the passion and OPENNESS that merges and emerges in deep love space. That space is ALWAYS with us, that's the most amazing thing about it. We twist and turn around it but the light of our own connections and presence is inescapable. We cannot help but be lights, drawn together to those who resonate.
This is why gestures like the color changing LED balls on our bikes make such powerful bonds between us. We recognize a light signature and respond to it as family, knowing that there's a fundamental ability to sync with those we choose to share this love with.
Love can be one sided or shared but it is definitely enriched and grows exponentially as you add people, attention and energy.

Fri, August 17, 2007 - 8:50 AMafrikaans offers a beautiful expression. no wonder they call it the heavenly language.
"ek is lief vir jou" - directly translated, it means: "i am love for you."
