Great... Now they'll know who we are, and where we live and work... incase they feel the need to purge the Earth of the "evil" that is "us."

Good news indeed. The meaningful changes, for the most part, are the little ones that happen in small increments. It's the big headline news that causes a backlash and makes the pendulum swing backward again. This should slip in under the radar.

But it makes me wonder, what will our census options be? I hope we get more choices than just "straight" and "gay." And how will they approach identity? Will we have to choose from limited categories again?

I hope they give us a write-in option! I won't mind so much having to describe myself in a single word if I get to choose the word =)
