I'm totally wild about deer, but I wouldn't get one as a pet. I've been told they're destructive to your plants. I've collected a lot of deer pictures, figurines and a few shirts and fabric panels with pictures of the beasts.
Also, I'm a cat and dog freak. I had a dog for 14 years and a cat for 18. I've just acquired a cat from a lady who died, and she's usually good, except when she gets a hankering for birds. We've had to chase her away from the bird cage several times in the last week!

I started out with two finches and ended up with ten! Finally had to take the nests out to discourage egg laying. Some have taken to emptying one of the feeders and sleeping up to five at a time in it. So far, no more eggs though.
As for other wild animals, I've collected a few figures of bears, elephants, giraffes, mountain lions, wolves and raccoons. I could hang around at the zoo all day. Meerkats are fun to watch too; they like to play. Their favorite line? "I'm not a dog; I'm just a meerkat!"
