~*~Rabbit Medicine~*~

Well I pulled my Oracle card this morning curious as to what advice it had for my Animal Medicine.
And I pulled the Rabbit card.

Rabbit

Poor Rabbit! No other animal is so associated with fear than Rabbit—that nervous little bunny who hops and leaps at every little sound. Rabbit has come to you today to ask you to have the courage to face whatever difficulties you’re having instead of running away to a safe burrow. Face your fears, examine your old “fight or flight” patterns, and determine once and for all to stop hiding away.

The funny thing is my Chinese sign is the rabbit also.

The RABBIT
Sociable, Discreet, Refined, Shrewd, Perceptive, Sensitive, Aloof.
While they may not like it, the Rabbit is a timid, attractive being who is usually non-confrontational. Rabbits are very popular with friends and family. They are inherently compassionate and protective of those they care about. Rabbits idealize their relationships and may give far more of themselves than is healthy. Fortunately the Rabbit surrounds itself with friends and family who will help it regain its balance when thrown off emotionally.
Rabbits are a bit fragile and need a solid social foundation in order to thrive. Without a strong family and close friends the Rabbit will not stand up well to adversity. Rabbits are so sensitive to their feelings that any emotional upset may make them physically sick. Rabbits can be pessimistic if they feel as though their lives are at a stand-still. By nature they are insecure about their place in the world. Rabbits move through life at their own pace. They are both contemplative and often procrastinators.
Rabbits love the home life. Within a strong family environment the Rabbit may find the security it needs to blossom and become more self-assertive.

some key notes about Rabbit from the Druid Animal Oracle:
    Rebirth, Intuition, Balance
    -promise and fulfillment
-the Goddess, the moon, the night, dawn, brightness, the east,
    -shapeshifting
-ability to negotiate times of change
    -briing luck, fertility, transformation, healing

an encounter with rabbit taught me about "listening"
also there was the question while watching them, "How far down the rabbit hole are you willing to go?" from What the Bleep Do We
    Know?
    Blessings,
    Jessie

I do have alot of changes going on right now.
Switching to working overnights at least until I get the kids back into school.
Or untill I find another job which is something I am looking at doing.
I am also getting my information together to get back into college.
If it come push to shove and my schedule is still a problem,
I may have to quit my job and continue looking for a better job.
I have at least my mom to talk to during these times as well to bounce these ideas around with her.
And she fully understands the stress I have been undergoing in my life.
So yes there are many changes at work I feel in my life.

~the 'lesson' from the Medicine Cards for Rabbit is as follows:
"If you pulled Rabbit, stop talking about horrible things happening and get rid of "what if" in your vocabulary. This card may signal a time of worry about the future or of trying to exercise your control over that which is not yet in form--in future. Stop now! Write your fears down and be willing to feel them. Breathe into them, and feel them running through your body into Mother Earth as a give-away."

        Many Blessings!~ox

I went to a Rabbit Teacher yesterday and he told me about staying very still and blending into your environment. He disappeared and re-appeared to me several times, just to demonstrate. He also said that it is good to "put your listening ears on." That sight can be deceiving, but sound is often very accurate!

Oh, and he knows about Immortality! It's got to do with proper nourishment.....eat a lot of salad!! Hee hee!

I also have been making a yummy Tortilla soup with corn, tomatoes, black beans, onions and a bit of chicken but it has a lot of veggies to the recipe I make.
And it is one I made into my own recipe.
But hey gives me an idea for dinner I may make me a salad to along with what I fix tonight.

Hehhehe...I will have to write it down or bring my book over next time I am out here.
The recipe I got came in a book for slow cooker recipes.
I was able to do it on the stove top in a big pot.
I can tell you what I do put in it when I am winging it...heheh
I take 3 boneless skinless chicken thighs cut up in bite size pieces.
If you are vegan you can probably skip the chicken.
I usually precook my chicken in a can of chicken broth.
but if you like you can cook in olive oil and then start put in the other ingredients.
I usually use 2 cans of chicken broth in this soup.
          1 can of corn drained.
1 can of black beans I drain out the liquid and rinse them a little and drain off the water.
I put in 1 can of Rotel that has green chiles in it.
2 cans of petite diced stewed tomatoes.
My sister adds in some mushrooms to hers but I haven't tried in my recipe just yet...heheh.
I also put in about 4 or 5 chopped up green onions I love chopping in some of the green part for mine.
If you do not have green onion you can add 1 chopped up yellow onion.
I let this cook on the stove and stirring as needed I let this cook for about 45 minutes to an hour if the chicken is cooked when starting this.
Once this is done I dish into bowls with tortilla chips and a bit of cheese if you like.
If you prefer cornbread you could eat soup with it instead of chips.
If you like it spicy I think you could add in more green chiles to this recipe.
I love to play around with a recipe and make it more interesting...heheh.
But that is me I do love being creative at times while I cook my kids have found some of my creations are actually pretty yummy once they give it a chance...hehehe.

              Your welcome hon.
              Hope you enjoy the recipe.
I do at times get a craving for certain foods and then that's when my creativity kicks into...heheh.
About a year ago I had a major craving for zucchini and yellow squash...heheh
and yup you guessed it I started cooking up a yummy dish that my kids enjoy.
I mix it up a little when I want to serve it over pasta or rice.
I will have to write down for you sometime.
