I have a friend who's got gophers in her flower be and I'm trying to convince her to NOT put out traps while her neighbor is telling her that's the ONLY thing that works.
Does anyone have any experience getting rid of gophers without killing them?

Re: Gophers
Sun, June 14, 2009 - 7:57 PMTraps only work for a little while, until more gophers show up. My neighbors run chicken wire a foot deep around the flower and veggie beds to keep the little rascals out. I wonder, what is it that attracts the gophers? What are they eating that they can't get elsewhere? -

Re: Gophers
Sun, July 5, 2009 - 10:26 PMJust found out the HOA started to send an exterminator up the hill above her house right before the gophers arrived at her house. So, what's in her garden is lack of exterminators. -

Mon, July 6, 2009 - 6:54 AMSo the exterminators just ran them down the hill to her yard? That's why I concentrate on protecting my beds. I can call exterminators until I'm blue in the face, but unless my neighbors call one at the same time its just a temporary solution. -

Re: Gophers
Thu, October 8, 2009 - 11:23 PMI think so. I'd plant flowers in order to attract gophers.
