Brought about by synchronicity and the urge to collaborate.
Idea as follows... Approach 2 or more people and arrange for them to pick 2 or 3 photos.
Each participant uses tools of their choice to slice/dice/collage whatever bits and pieces together then post an animated gif along with the component frames to the others. With all the pieces each person then retransforms adds/subtracts whatever to create another animation.
