Annwfn is thriving!! There is change and new beginnings in the air and excitement is abound!
A new door graces the Goat Lodge which eliminates the draft in the ante room. Also, two windows have been inserted into the Goat Lodge ante room – where there used to be opaque plastic on the window cut-outs are now windows to bring in sunlight and faerie dust! The roof has also been fixed on the Goat Lodge (as of October) as well as the addition of some beautiful (5) new steps.
Come visit Annwfn and see the new Rain Water Catch System that Joe, Juan and Geoff designed and installed. The water rushes down the installed gutter, through a filtration system on top of a barrel and is collected to be added to the water supply. They’ve also put in a over-flow system so the water will not pool up in front of the Goat Lodge during really rainy weather (if the barrel is not emptied often enough) – the extra water now runs through a pipe and is spilled out down the hill safely.
The six new solar panels purchased with Beltaine revenue have been hooked up to the DC power!! We’re on our way to having full AC power in the Goat Lodge – WooHoo!!
To finish the project we need 2 new solar batteries and about 200 yards of romex wire (this hopefully includes enough wire to re-wire the Goat Lodge which is currently wired inadequately).
In the garden the Caretakers have finished the Strawberry Spiral and successfully transplanted several strawberry plants from the already full spiral sections to the newly re-formed spirals. It looks WONDERFUL! I simply cannot wait for all the fresh strawberries and strawberry jam and strawberry pie and strawberry mead – oh my – that will surely come this summer!!
There are plans to update the watering system in the garden; hopefully we all can get in on the action with a planned work party. There are also some great new dreams for the garden including planting more vegetables and fruit! Which reminds me: there’s now a new fruit garden up above the Red House that is home to a few trees (I don’t recall the kind, sorry) and some raspberry bushes as well as a few roses. There are hopes to plant blueberries and much more!!
One of the new Caretakers, Laura, is a blossoming artist and she’s left her faerie mark on Annwfn – to the delight of the Deities and faeries and pagans alike! The new garden shed (which is big!) has been painted with a beautiful rendition of the Native American creation myth. It’s a beautiful sight when lounging in the garden under a full moon – a must see!
Apple Tree has outdone herself this year and all the Caretakers took joy in gathering her fruit and creating many sweets – apple butter, apple pie, and apple tart, oh my! Home made, organic apple butter is available for a small donation to Annwfn, please contact Aileen for more details – 707-468-4661.
2008 will be a magnificent year for Annwfn – it’s in the air and we will manifest it!!

Re: News from Annwfn's Caretakers & 2008 Schedule
Sun, January 6, 2008 - 4:41 PM-Thanks for correcting the phone number. I had assumed that you'd get access to the Annwfn Message line (707-468-4661) and the number for Annwfn wouldn't change. Also, I didn't think I should send out Aileen's phone number before asking, so kept the same Annwfn #. Please let me know if the Annwfn official contact number will be changed to Aileen's phone - we'll need to make a lot of changes to Annwfn-related notices & information. -
