--- All aspects of the Antarctic environment (geology, weather, biosphere, etc.)
--- Effects of current changesclimate (and Antarctican-based evidence of past climate changes that our planet has experienced)
--- Human survival in extreme environments (including implications for interplanetary travel...)
--- History of Antarctica-based experimentation in "extreme isolation" in human beings (again, including implications for interplanetary travel, and "long-term" spaceflight, in general...)
--- Commentary and questions on the history of the Antarctic portions of past (and current) I.G.Y.s and all related scientific literature
--- Geomagnetic topics related to the continent of Antarctica
--- Paleogeography (i.e., role, placement, subduction zone activities, etc.) of the continent of Antarctica
--- Requests for team members, calls for papers, and scientific job listings in Antarctica -- or on a team that researches Antarctica
BASE RULES:
1) Discussion of the Arctic region is OK, if *RELEVANT* to any area of Antarctic research -- especially if used to clarify (by comparative analysis) some previously posting...
2) The list will be "unmoderated" until the first flame-war occurs... 8-)
3) In general, NO *FLAMING* PLEASE -- the environment down there is heating up enough as it is...
4) Please post URLs for citations, WWW-pages of interest, scientific articles, etc., rather than copying the ENTIRE THING into your posting. In other words, we'd prefer that you just select the lines or paragraphs that "support" your comments (as you would in OTHER scientific correspondence) than that you "throw the book" at us...
5) Otherwise: ENJOY!!!
