    Which "works" by Virgil? The Eclogues, The Aeneid, The Georgics? Because they are so bucolic and often (although not always)rather sweet, the Eclogues would probably be my pre-sleep choice.

    I'm grateful for:

    high-powered hose heads that can take out black widow spiders and their messy nests at the twist of a faucet
    autumn sunshine
    decent cheap Spanish wine
    high speed internet connection
    my flat-leaf parsley and columnar basil plants growing like it's still midsummer
