Derry / Londonderry

In looking at a news feed from the BBC I saw th city referred to as Derry. In some areas calling it that can get you into A LOT of trouble.

Does it really matter what the city is called?

    I guess it only matters if one's unable to get over the fact that the Troubles seem to be on an ever-increasing pace toward extinction.
