The entire piece is called Dante's Inferno. (that's what we, DDC, call it)
We are working on a whole new piece and we are sooooo excited! We have performed it roughly 2 times live and cannot wait to perform it for you guys all over the place!!!! seriously...I looooove our new piece to death. Wish it would have been ready in time for TF 09....ah well...there is next year... -

Wed, July 15, 2009 - 7:32 AMMy skirt for this costume was made by Danske Blue...based in Southern California. She can be found every first sunday of the month in Northern California at the Alameda "Antique Show". She is an exceptional designer.
The other skirts worn by Deshret principal dancers were all made by each dancer themselves...
Basically tulle(sp?) underneath, fabric skirt over that, gathered or rouged...antique appliques applied all over top as adornment to the skirt.... -

Sun, July 26, 2009 - 1:23 PMI also loved the hats tremendously, and have been looking long and hard for one the same shape. I can find similar, yet not nearly as stunning ones. Did you get them in San Fran, or are they from that lovely internet place? I am going to be in San Fran for most of September and plan on expanding my costume closet dramatically while I am there. I need to know where to shop!! -
