I moved here 3years ago from massachustts, my parents wanted a change and was sick of the snow. they picked this crap hole out of ALL PLACES!! eh i liked it for a bit, but i realized its a HOTT CRAP HOLE!! with uneducated people, bad schools, meth labs, illegals, rude drives and just plain UGLY HOTT DESERT! my parents wont go back home and im 21 and dont have the $ or am ready to go on my own, .. i want OUT !!!! i miss the east coast

Phoenix sucked so much goddamn balls. I was down there for two months (that's all I could tolerate) then moved back to Portland. Everything is spread out, there's no character, and it's fucking boring. Seriously, the only bar I found was worth going to was Cruisin' 7th, which was a gay tranny bar.

The place is just filled with plastic California rejects, and even worse: crazy lunatics that support Sheriff Joe.

Don't ever go there unless your elderly and looking to die.

I have lived in Arizona for 9 and a half years too long. I am leaving in a few months to go home to Oklahoma. I was suckered into moving here and was told the wages were great and cost of living is exceptional. BULL CRAP!!! I can not see paying this much for an acre of dried lizzard crap let alone the cost of rent. not to mention everything has to be carried out with such beurocratic precision, it is just insane. Every since I moved here it has been a constant up hill ass raping financially. i asked my boss for a 5 cent raise and he acted like I was stealing from him. I said ok Ebeneser and found a new job that pays the same!! At least back home I can still buy a 3 bdr house for 40 grand and it sits on two acre of usable land. I think people here think everything is made of gold!!! Although I will miss the desert. Small price to pay for actual freedom to hunt and fish whenever and wherever I please. Hey I tried as hard as I can to make life in hell work. I have had to work 3 jobs and never had a ticket and someone or something always has there had out telling me to hand it over. All there is to show for 91/2 years is 5 dollars in a savings account. You can have Arizona and I will make it a point to post were ever I can in travel and vacation websites that Arizona is a drain on our nations economy and serves no right to be part of the union and post links to demographic websites. Maybe we will get lucky and Arizona will follow California into the ocean. I do not see how people can be so greedy and still say this is a great place to live.

I been over 8 years in Phoenix area, I am so tired of this place, but I will move soon. There are so many things I don't know how start, I guess Maricopa county it continues being "Old West" Just seen the news there are like 3 to 5 dead guys a day just in Phoenx area; first place nation wide in stolen cars, last place in education, crime are so high, homeless every place, (50,000 last count), drugs in every place, cops are so prepotent and very hard and stupid laws. I never been in jail but if the state have a chace to send You to jail, their will do it, then the state will collect money for you probation.
Racist in every place every day, against mexicans, mexican-americans, natives, african americans, even for white people if they not agree with those ideas. dangerous drivers with out insurance ( 60 % has not insurance) High pollution, low wages, etc.
Very sad place, the economy it's running slow this feb 2008 but Arizona's it's collapsing faster.

In my first week, I made about $25.00. By the end of the second week I had made a total of over $1,000.00! In the third week I had over $10,000.00 and it's still growing. This is now my fourth week and I have made a total of just over $42,000.00 and it's still coming in rapidly. It's certainly worth $6.00, and 6 stamps, I have spent more than that on the!! Arizona Stinks and its way too hot

I lived in arizona for a long time, and I can truly say the state is stupid. every doesn't know how to drive, and on top of that they are all mean. there are so many white people, which is wierd because they stink bad. when i encounter the police in arizona, its a real nightmare! everytime I go back I take my friends to various areas of town where inevitably some heat-stroked monster guy starts a fight with us - not only that but he is sweaty and smells like black racist. Perhaps the worst part of arizona is the fact that there is no plants anywhere, and the freeways really take a dump. I feel bad for my arizona friends because not only that but the sports teams really take a blow from the heat. my advice to anyone is if you go to arizona bringa bottle of water, a gun, and a rape-kit. and definently don't go if you are gay.

Our Greatest Conservation Opportunity: Protect Canada's Desert, Grasslands and Ponderosa Pine Forests in Southern BC!

Currently, Canadians are being presented with one of the most exceptional conservation opportunities in our history. The BC and federal governments have agreed to undertake a Feasibility Study for a potential national park reserve to protect the desert, grasslands, and Ponderosa pine ecosystems of the South Okanagan and Similkameen Valleys in southern British Columbia. The local residents and the millions of Canadians who've visited the area know it is perhaps the most beautiful region of the country. Whether the national park reserve becomes a reality - or a lost opportunity - depends on YOUR input and the input of all Canadians.

This region, around the towns of Osoyoos, Oliver, Keremeos and Cawston, has more species at risk than any other region of BC. Canyon wrens, white-headed woodpeckers, badgers, California bighorn sheep, tiger salamanders, spadefoot toads, pallid bats, spotted bats, scorpions, and rattlesnakes all inhabit the area. A national park here would encompass a greater diversity of ecosystems than any national park in Canada - 6 of BC's 14 major ecosystem types ("biogeoclimatic zones") are found in this little region.

National parks are very rare - there are only 7 national parks in BC, in contrast to over 1000 provincial parks and protected areas here. National parks tend to be much larger than provincial parks and have the highest standards of environmental protection. A national park reserve in the South Okanagan-Similkameen region would be the greatest conservation opportunity for an area that is the greatest conservation priority in Canada.

Anyone who lives in North America knows that national parks greatly enhance local economies by increasing tourism revenues and providing local jobs, not to mention increasing the environmental quality of life for local people and all Canadians.

This proposed park - a once in a lifetime opportunity -could very well be derailed by vocal opposition forces unless YOU speak up to the political decision-makers!

Not only does Arizona suck, but Arizonans are ALSO a menace in our society. When they come to LA or SD, they are always the people headed the wrong way down one way streets!! What is so difficult about understanding that all cars, when on said street, must be headed in the same direction?!?!

I think the non-stop burning heat boils away some brain cells.

Also, thank you for creating this group- finally I have a place to vent my hatred for Arizona with people who understand how much AZ sucks.

Maricopa county realy sucks

Long story short. I'm still dealing with felony drug charges for less than 1 gram (1 pipeload) and 1colonopin (which in Az is cosidered a dangerous drug) from 2 1/2 years ago. All I remember from the arrest was the officer telling me "I know this is only an infraction where you come from but it's a felony here and tour going to jail"
Phoenix (Maricopa County) is a glorified toll booth in the middle of hell.

I wrote this last year when I was still living in Tucson. I thought you'll might enjoy it.

Have I been dreaming the last 7 years?
Does a grocery store have to have security guards at all hours of the day?
With only the poorest workers coming there with their babies at midnight?
Where is the city?
I know where the suburbs are.
Three blocks downtown is not much, but
there are delightful restaurants and original bars.
Hard to find, but they are there.

Oh, and I love sun.
E v e r y d a y.
Roasting me like a chicken slowly over the fire.
Giving me a great tan and skin cancer.
So, I will leave Tucson by night.
So, that I can't see the angry mountains yelling at me:
"Leave, if you don't like it!"

There are so many people here I'd like to meet,
If only someone would look up from the concrete sidewalk, please?
They are like gems hidden in fog
deep enough that it makes me proud just knowing of them.
These are spirited people, independent and unique.

Oh, you shy people of Tucson.
Do fraternity boys have a monopoly on extrovertness?
I am not shy.
I just like to keep to myself.
Sitting alone at home
writing with my bleeding pen.
I have not felt at-home in a long time.
Loneliness is my best friend.
It's always with me, it's comforting that way; you know?

I can't take one more winter..this fuel prices are ridiculous!
My soul is vibein' on New Mexico but really don't know anything about this place... will I have to get up being a vegetarian? What is the realestate like..will I be living in my car just to go buy a loaf of bread..and what about cannabis, can one grow any plants for personal..for health reasons of course..
Will someone enlighten me..

My name is john and I lived in Arizona for 15 years, and it was the worst place I lived in, right now I live in Oregon. All my friends moved out of Arizona right after graduation, because they couldn't stand it. I will never go back to Arizona, people were racist, black were racist, white people were racist and even Mexicans were racist. And worst of all the heat, studies show, every year on average 29 Arizona residents die from heatstroke and sunstroke. The sun is good but 2 much of it could causes Cancer. After moving out of Arizona I realized Arizona is dead. Other then the Grand Canyon there is nothing else to see. Motor Vehicle Accidents Cause Most Preventable Deaths Among Arizona Children.

This is an open letter to Az. Gov.
Hey how can u even hold ur head up to other GOV. this mundane myopic govt. of urs is a national disgrace!! Ur police dept. r so corrupt, look at chief Bartosh for example. And the Mesa Police dont even desrve to exsist with real humans on this planet. U continually violate human rights and civil rights why??? Az. is LOWEST state in the nation for education and mental health care, for most humanitarian needs. U lost the right to even execute all death row inmates because of ur extreme ignorance. U r a real disgrace to real statesmen and any leaders of the world who care about human rights.
