It should be perfectly obvious to anyone with eyes that she was captured by slavers, and - due to her amazing dance skills - sold at a high price to a newt-worshipping mountain compound predominantly full of men. It's absolutely clear to me that she hopes that by dancing as badly as possible her wretched captors will eventually lose interest and set her free.
I think she's very brave.
