Creativity source

I have moved N many directions 2 get creative ideas flowing N students, meeting with some success and some failure. The question4 me now is what's best 2 stimulate that creative fire?lessons N repetition or lessons that encourage freedom? Does anyone have an opinion on this or tested results N this area?

    a little bit of both
    you will find some kids do wonderful things within boundaries and freak out when there are none
    and others are just the opposite
    if you are in elementary try to have a balance of both
