Op Art

Anyone have any good lesson plans for creating Op Art - middle school level?

    I thought I did
    but what I have are a bunch of samples
    there is a descriptor paragraph, that just describes op art and that it tricks the eye
    it says you need compasses and rulers and that neatness is imperative for good op art
    best tool fiber tipped pen

    I did get them from an middle school art teacher so here goes trying to describe:

    concentric circles varying in spacing combined with lines radiating from the centerprovide the space divisions

    converging lines with concentric straight edged shape
    (its like an organic shape but all straight edges and lots of them in and out)

    checker board with the lines varying from widely spaced to narrowly spaced back to wide

    overlapping and intersecting bulls eye patterns that alternate colors and texture at the over lap

    back ground is zebra striped and an outline of a running zebra alternates from the background sripes

    Hope some of those ideas help
