All I will post here is experimenteb by me, but I'm sure more people know another methods to know oneself. ;)
Since I meditate, my artistic inner resources come out, at the begin I don't believe in all. But later I begin to research about why it succeed.
Theorically it's suposed that the meditation "open the mind", jump the mental blockades, helps to arrange the thoughts, and with more practice, anyone can reach to "see" his own mental diagram, well-knew better and flower like a lotus.
Each one who meditate can have a different meditation method of another one, but basically, as I know, the "trick" is in "no-think" -yes, it's impossible, but I explain my method.
I'm influenced of different "spiritual" ways, and I mixed the methods in one that suit me.
First, I put in lotus position (with the legs crossed), but more comfortably as I can. If I put more comfortable, I can finish sleeped, lol.
After, I beggin to see my thoughts as an observer. I imagine each thought which want to distract me passing like a photogram of a film, and without judge, I see the topic of the thought.
Ths first part isn't very easy, most of all to the people that relax isn't easy. That part we could name like "Total relax: body and mind" After, you can remain in this peace (if you find, but don't worry if not, even expert meditators have bad days ;) ) a time, perhaps you find great surprises. Or you can do a "change of chip": introduce in yourself "orations", constructive phrases like "I can do..." "I can have all I want", or do visualisations.
Here I think is a good place to leave knows or doubts ^^ I hope that this information can be used.
