Missing Person - Update

topic posted Sat, November 24, 2007 - 12:35 PM by  Jon
Hi Folks..

Awhile ago, I passed this along...about a Tribe sister who's son Chris has been missing since September.

(Here is the website:www.findchris.org/)

There is some news! It is the first lead in the case!

"Today a girl working at a gas station in Cortez, CO says' she can positively identify Chris as a boy that has come in several time, most recently with 2-3 day, trying to buy cigarettes..."

Here's hoping that the good folks in law enforcement can take this lead and finally bring Chris home!

Please send out some good vibes and, if you could, pass this info along to anyone you know in Colorado
and especially in the Cortez area.

Here is a link to a map for Cortez, CO:

thanks,

Jon

I hope he phones home soon. But he is 18, so I wouldn't put any stock in the " he TRIED to buy cigs" story. He can buy them if he wants.
Do you personaly know this tribe sister ?

I read her tribe name, atistpriestess. Here's a photo from her albumpeople.tribe.net/artistpri...618e92e6c7

Also the link at top will work if you take the bracket off at the end.

Anyway, money for a PI and psychic. She mustn't be satisfied with the police?

Did you mean you wanted to see her profile page?

          here's the link

          people.tribe.net/artistpriestess

and here's a news article on the case:

          www.ksl.com/

The police contact information is on the website.

In cases like this, where the person is over 18, unless there is specific evidence that a crime has been committed, the police are not allowed to do much.

In the person is a minor, then the police can be involved. If they have direct evidence of an abduction, they can be involved. Without that kind of direct evidence, their involvement is often limited.

So, folks often have to resort to private investigators. That is very very common in cases like this. PI's are very expensive. Very very expensive...who knows $10,000 or $20,000 or more... so it is not unreasonable that I a family would do fundraising to hire hone.

As far as psychics go? They have used by law enforcement agencies all across the country. If you don't believe in that kind of thing, I can understand it, but law enforcement recognizes them as a professional tool - even if not publicly.
