Hi Guys,
I just had a great idea for a couple of sculptures in plastic, but I've never used plastic before, and I have no idea how to even get started. How do turn my ideas into reality? Any help is much appreciated.

Re: Working With Plastic
Thu, May 22, 2008 - 4:52 AMbest of luck with the project...
I sent this along to the tribe before, it is a link for working with safer artistic materials:
sis.nlm.nih.gov/enviro/arthazards.html
just remember that, when working with plastic, there might be a few cautions. Heated or melting plastic, in particular.
that can produce some pretty noxious stuff. Even firemen are cautioned about fires that have a lot of plastic...they have to go in using masks...

Re: Working With Plastic
Thu, May 22, 2008 - 3:49 PMwhen I was studying art in school my teacher showed us pictures of a great artist who made life like sculptures out of melted buckets, apparently he did long before his natural time from the fume, so be careful, pvc is what fire fighters are most scared of when it burns I heard.
