Art Model Camp will return to Burning Man 2009!
WELCOME ART MODELS, ARTISTS, FANS, and FRIENDS!
This will be our 3rd year in a row as an official camp at Burning Man.
If you are attending Burning Man 2009, you’re invited to MODEL , DRAW, PAINT, or SCULPT on the playa WITH AMC: ART MODEL CAMP!
WHO WE ARE:
The core of this online tribe is art models at burning man. Some of us camp together, some of us camp elsewhere at burning man and might drop in to say “Hi” once in a while, while other members are curious, lend spiritual support, drop by to draw at our camp, help us set up or pack up our camp, or cheer us on from their off-playa hooches. We welcome professional and new models, artists, and compatible friends from any city or country to join this tribe, and to camp on the playa with or near us space permitting.
WHAT WE DO:
Our main camp activity is hosting LIFE DRAWING WORKSHOPS IN OUR SHADED STRUCTURE 12:00pm-3:00pm Monday through Sunday.
Most artists bring their own materials and some bring chairs as well, but we do have a starter set of chairs and drawing materials available.
We have space for 3 models on stage at a time, give or take....
~We'd like people camping with us to commit to modeling at least 1 hour/ on any 3 days
~Models whether professional, new, or artists who would like to experience the fun of modeling, are invited to sign up in advance or spontaneously onsite.
WHERE TO FIND US:
Most likely we will again be located in the fabulous AEZ (aka the Alternative Energy Zone Village) which in 2007 and 08 was just a few blocks from Center Camp.
Please visit us on the playa, feel free to post any art or modeling related info as a topic in this online tribe, and check this tribe periodically, especially in the last couple of months before we travel to the playa, for updates on our camp!
