The Art n’ Soul Institute is an advocacy and support group for Christian art in all its creative forms in Fresno, the central valley, California, and beyond. This discussion group is a means to network and communicate amongst our members and to inform those who are interested in participating in our groups and events.

We have a vision for Christian creatives to have an influential participation in the Arts and Entertainment district in downtown Fresno. In partnership with area pastors and community leaders we are at the forefront of bringing revitalization to this area. The Art n’ Soul Institute was founded by Mark Deraud, a noted classical and liturgical artist and is part of a greater Christian art renaissance movement. The Art n’ Soul Institute began from a series of church seminars, has conducted monthly meetings for the last two years and has plans to participate in Arthop in the near future. Recently we have conducted extravaganzas, symposiums, and showcases.

The Institute places emphasis on God’s creative spirit to anoint and birth creative works. We have an emphasis on art as prophecy for personal healing and in exegeting the times. Other aspects of our philosophical and theological basis will be found in our background documents when it becomes available on our site.

For those of you who are interested in leadership and support of the Art n Soul Institute, we have formed the Core group. The Core group forms the basis for our staff and in making plans for the future.
