Well, S&VA has been up for a while now, we have some new members, and a lot of intelligent minds, however from what I can tell we need more people here before this baby can really take off.
if you would all take a few moments and invite somwone you know to join, maybe make a comment, perhaps we could get this train rolling.

I had a class make a Tribe person and upload photos. They read the Part One from subculture the meaning of style (dick hebdige) and now they have to "read" the signifiers in the photo archive of this new person and find others on Tribe and "read" the signifiers of their photo albums, too.
So, some might not think that we can "read" Tribe members' photo albums as art and others might argue that a Tribe photo album tells you nothing about the person who posted the photos.

Thu, September 14, 2006 - 2:28 AMAs usual I hold whatever oppinion includes all existing perspectives in as integrationist a manner as possible.
Which in this case is probably that for some it isn't relivant to attemopt that at all and for others it is, and for still others it's only kind of relivant, but then I think this also can be discerned...for some...and around we go again.
