Hi-ya fire folks, object manipulators, and other related persons of a circular nature, my partner in crime Corey and I are going to be in Asheville for a few days around the weekend of the 16th and would love to make some new spinny friends. We are both fresh off of a kick ass time at Fire Drums and are stoked to be back on the road with a chance of meeting other spinners so soon after that wonderful gathering. Jesse, we will be in Asheville Thursday through Monday morning and will be busy all day Saturday with Pinup for Paws. Friday or Sunday would probably be best to hangout and spin as we are going Greyhound for this trip and will more then likely be quite spent for most of Thursday.

Felt a little bad about Unifire turning down this gig but we only do so many benefits a year. Let me know if you need any extras or some safety. Make sure the permit is set as the city has gotten strict about it and fines the living hell out of you now. Enjoy Asheville and I hope to meet you all afore you get out of town. -

Tue, May 12, 2009 - 7:12 AMThanks for the offer dude though I think we are only doing a 15 minute set and I am pretty sure Brit has arranged safeties for us. Still that's awesome that you offered. About the permit, man oh man is Asheville strict!!! Though I now have heard why and completely understand still it was a bit surprising as you often only see this kind of permitting in big cities i.e. San Fran, NYC, LA, etc etc. I guess we are lucky there are still very few troupes performing in our region, and the ones that are know their safety.
If Unifire has a practice, get together, or just a few people meeting up to play please let us know (518) 774 2001 cause the best part of the fire arts community is getting to meet the awesome people who make up the fire arts community. : ) Oh and if anybody you know plays with meteor please please please have them find me!!! Poi is fun and all but double meteor is a whole new realm of circle making goodness.

I'll try to make your show tonight but have to go to see the Librado Sisters first. I perform in other troupes with two of the girls and they are bestest friends. If I don't see ya tonight, maybe tom. Tha was much fun the other night though I paid for it at work the next day. Glad I could be the first. LOL
