Olof has my mellow mix demo, it has a relativly Dark Scorpionic Sound and if allowed to play a set I can relate to whatever mood is requested. If not this time, maybe another....I would love some dialouge about possiblities, expectations, and or reqiurements.

I am a Sag., but I have 4 Planets Scorpio, & Ceres is in Scorpio. Beleive me I can play a scorpionic set. If not this time maybe next Scorpio full moon?

Hooping together project for May Full Moon

Hi everyone,
I'm Excited that our next gathering is going to be out doors, so I thought we should all get together & shake our hips with hoops. :~)

So I will be bringing about 10 freshly made hoops to share, & I would like to host a Hoop taping party. I have a small assortment of colored electrical tape, but it would be great if more people **(Smiles & looks at You)** would bring different colored, sparkly, shinny, reflective tape to add to OUR new Hoops.
I plan on sharing OUR new hoops with everyone & bringing them back to all our future out door gatherings.

INDOOR's or OUTDOOR's????? What do WE want?

Well kids it's spring, time to start playing out side again, but it might be chilly so what is the tribe thinking?

Question:
Should we have the 4/20 Full Moon Gathering indoor's one last time, or should we bundle up &/or pray for warm weather & go out doors under the moon light again?

We are planning to make a dission in the next 3-4 days so please if you have any input PLEASE POST YOUR OPINION's HERE ASAP!!!

If we are going out doors we need extra people to help transport stuff both there & back!
Also it would be good if people could bring extra blankets, pillows, & warm stuff to share!
Please volenteer here if you are interested in helping or have anything else you would like to contribute!

Wicker Man

Hi,

I wanted to let everyone know about a new burn, and I'm a part of the planning team for it.

The burn is "Wicker Man" to be held Thursday - Monday, Memorial Day weekend; we have a setup weekend, the weekend before. We are trying to lay the groundwork that will grow into a full-on burn, with an amazing site, roads for art cars, a $4000 art grant budget and plans for an awesome effigy.

We will be using Four Quarters in Pennsylvania as our site. Four Quarters has the rep has one of the most edgy and progressive non-profit camps on the east coast. FQ has given us their full support for Wicker Man. FQ has a piped water system, hot showers, flush toilets and port-o-potties. There are buried power lines for their bio-fueled camp generator, a covered stage and three swimming holes. There is lots of camping under tall treees and out in the sun as well + 2 miles of gravelled roads. Four Quarters is located 100 miles west of DC and Baltimore, just off I-68.

We want to develop a burn that is art focused and will support big art. We have a vision of the future of burns that is sustainable, ecologically responsible and leaves behind a small footprint. Thus, "Wicker Man" the old celebraton of the Green Man and Green energy. We have lots of theme camps and art projects registered. We plan to have three "Theme Towns". Sound Town where we can run sound all night long, like the Gaian Mindd pystrance festival held at Four Quarters (my favorite festival at FQ!), "Sin City" down along the river, and
"Center Circle" a place for nature and spirit, held inside the amazing stone circle at FQ. Yes, there is a circle of standing stones, yes they are huge and I've helped raise many of them at another festival held at FQ, Stones Rising.

Then there is the Man. Planned at 35 feet high, our man stands on a round temple to the Spirit of Fire, a big enough room that you can enter and place your own art and offerings to burn. The roof of the temple is a deck upon which stands the Man, and people can stand too. His belly is the Upper Temple, with room for just one person at at time. Each of his arms will hold a flaming fire pot and we hope they will move as He burns. This is a huge project and we are looking to get as many people involved in the construction as possible. Ground Breaking for the Man is Friday May 9th and then the next two weekends until he burns.

Full moon in Libra: Astrology relevance

When the Moon is full in Libra, it is reflecting the light from the Sun in Aries. The polarity of these two opposing signs represents knowing self in an effort to know others; thereby allowing others to truly know us. The Libra Moon reflects the light of Arian individuality and uses it as the fuel for greater understanding of others.

Know thyself and the true nature of all things will be revealed.

As with every Libra Full Moon, we have an opposition to a blatantly self-interested Aries Sun, but on this Full Moon this opposition is squared by a Mars in Cancer/Pluto in Capricorn opposition creating a cardinal grand square. So, take a deep breath, because this grand square is challenging us to work out relational problems no matter what it takes. Successful engagement with a grand square comes when we refuse to get caught in the idea that the way of any one planet in the configuration holds the answer to all the issues.

Grand squares challenge us to distill the essence and strengths of four different points of view, bring them together, and through mediation and compromise create thought, speech, and actions which are solution-focused, positive, and life-affirming. A great example for this grand square is learning (Pluto in Capricorn) to set personal limits and boundaries (Sun in Aries) during relational interactions (Moon in Libra) while maintaining an attitude of care and compassion (Mars in Cancer) for all involved.

A Full Moon in Libra asks each of us to practice one particular relational skill: listening attentively with an open heart, an open mind, and without interruption or feedback. What exactly will we be listening for? Hopefully we can each attend to the voices of All Our Relations. This includes every living thing, on all planes of existence, on this planet, in our solar system, in our galaxy, and all throughout the multiplicitous universe. Think of this day as an invitation to enter into a sacred circle with every one and every thing you encounter. Interrupt less, listen more, and learn from every word, every movement, each intimation, and every action. With the light of the Full Moon making all things knowable, it is our job to open ourselves wide and take in all of life: the joy, the pain, the suffering, the ecstasy, the extraordinary, the ordinary, the pure, the defiled, the ignorance and intelligence.

This year, Venus (heart), Mercury (mind), and Uranus (the awakener) in Pisces and a sextile (opportunity) from Uranus to Jupiter in Capricorn, make it possible for us to drop deeply into the recognition of interconnectivity on a very practical level. How we take care of ourselves and how we caretake others has real consequences. Are our own emotional needs being met in large measure because we refuse to take into consideration the needs of others? Or are our own needs being dismissed in order to fulfill the wishes and desires of others? These are decisively Libran questions whose answers are often laden with a sense of doing whatever it takes to avoid conflict. Hopefully working on appropriate ways to express anger has been a goal since the New Moon in Pisces. This is the Full Moon to celebrate all of that transformative work and see if you can put it into practice through effective and healthy communication.

This is the Full Moon to gather with others and celebrate togetherness, commonality, love and peace. It is important to fully experience how your actions affect the people in your life. If it’s been ages since your family sat down together for dinner, this is the night for a good meal with great conversation. Sharing and listening breaks down barriers and engenders love. If you choose to do a nighttime Full Moon ritual, revel in the natural beauty that surrounds you. If it is warm enough, have your celebration outside under the Full Moon and invite the birds and animals to come into your circle of love. Believe me, an openhearted invitation is all they need and boy so they have a lot to say!

This is a great Full Moon for a lunchtime party at your office. Make the theme working together to achieve common goals, which is a perfect theme for the cardinal grand square. Set up chairs in a circle and make it a time for deep listening and sharing of ideas. Pass an object round the circle: whoever has it talks, and everyone else listens without interruption. Allow the thoughts and ideas to flow. You will know what subject is the best one to focus on. It could be a current project, or your company’s bottom line, or team building. With Jupiter and Pluto in Capricorn, setting goals to achieve change will happen easily. Make sure you leave some time to discuss how the company can give back to your local community through volunteerism or project funding.

Libra rules Karma (action) and it is Libra’s job to give us the ability to pursue “right action”. What is this principle of right action?

1. Seek justice with fairness and balance.
2. Embrace your differences without being attached to them.
3. Work to understand viewpoints other than your own.
4. Remember “the truth” is relative and based upon one’s perception.
5. Initiate compromise, the basic building block of all solutions.
6. When we give a little we get a lot. When we give a lot, we get more than we can imagine.
7. Negotiation can always be the first and last response to conflict.
8. Violence is not a viable way to bring peace. Violence only begets more violence.
9. Insist on peace and non-violence.
10. When you cause pain and suffering to others, you destroy yourself in equal measure.
11. Saying and doing everything with love, compassion and respect is the only way to win.

These principles are applicable to all our relationships, be they intimate, familial or professional. Think of how different our world would be if we all practiced these principles. It is every person’s responsibility to make sure that every other person lives in peace, free of violence and fear. That every person has shelter, food, access to good medical care and an education.

Libra perceives the differences, but understands that our underlying commonality makes it impossible to “do unto others without simultaneously doing the same to ourselves.” We each have a responsibility to make sure that every other living thing on this planet is accorded the right to exist. They are All Our Relations; what we do to nature, we do to ourselves. We are our eco-system: our poisoned water, air and land is a reflection of our own poisonous thoughts and actions. We will have to learn to live together in harmony and peace. How long will it take our species to realize that violence only begets more violence? Libra rules negotiation. It is time to open a dialogue; voices not bullets are needed now.

Can we change the name of this family? Who here is honestly trying to evoke anything? Does everyone know what the difference between invoking and evoking is? It has really given me a headache ever since it first got coined - im just not down with it at all.

As someone who believes that everything - on a causal level - is created from words - this is actually a critical issue for me. So I'd like to call some sort of community poll or consensus on this and see if we are ready to change our name or not.

Moving back to Asheville!!

I'm moving back to Asheville and am looking for a place to live. I lived in Asheville for 7 years, and am currently in Charlotte (since last June). I'm very sad here, and am very excited to be moving back to the beloved mountains. Is there any opposition to someone photographing a Full Moon gathering? I was going to stop down last night, but opted to photograph the lunar eclipse from home last night as I wasn't sure how it might be taken by the folks there.

I've been trying to capture Human Beauty.

Regardless of the feed back on this issue, I'll be there next time with or without my camera...Just to be with ya'll.

DJ Needed!!!

There is going to be a party/dance/festival-esque event next friday night - October 12th. It's going to be a 2-story party, with a field/courtyard just outside with tiki torches for fire spinnin and just chillin. The bottom floor is going to be a lounge sort of place with fine foods, teas and delacacies of all types. The top floor is going to be completely cleared out & decked out to be a dance floor with dj space, with an island at the front of the room for the dj's tables and eq.

We are looking for a DJ or two --with-- their own equipment to spin from about 10-1am (1am because of noise ordinances). We are lookin for music that ranges from house to hip-hop to dub-step to stuff like Daft Punk and Depeche Mode.

This is going to be at Warren Wilson College, in the EcoDorm residence hall. If any of you are familiar with the space...you know its a sweet place for something like this.

Wilson parties are nuts, and we want this one to be most excellent.

i really appreciate everybody's energy at the last full moon. all of you really make it worth my while. thanx jackie for all the great tea and faerie productions, and scott for supervising the deep woods exodus. and especially jj and rick for playing such great music and letting me take a nap. to the people that stuck around for the second night, thanx for reminding me how truely intimate full moon gatherings can be. we'll be moving indoors for the fall/winter this month. let's use this time to build personal connections and resources that can sustain us through next summer. i can't wait to dance with you all again at the next full moon.

i've never said anything political my whole life...just sat back and watched the world get torn a new one. tolerated the smoke as it choked me, "it's their world to destroy". i'm timeless and it's not my problem.
this should tell you something if nothing has so far, that even i now come forth.

we are and will not as americans but as citizens of the world - we have to speak, even at our own risk, against the tactics of fear weaving and artificial scarcity. These gross tactics of oppression, it is seared into my mind and heart daily, by the hour - and the spiritual attainment i seek is meaningless as my enlightened flesh..acid rots off next to the corpses i meditate surrounded by.
we are making progress somewhere in the chaos but it takes those brave in the face of looming shadows to stand for it and shed light on it.

The videos "Circle of Light" and "The Sisters" have music in them that sounds pretty amazing. If anybody knows or could find out the names of the artists that did the music...that would be awesome.

You know how some songs just sound good to you? And I mean "good" like truly good to you, deep down, they just feel good...the songs in those videos did it to me. - The videos are pretty amazing too by the way. I'd really appreciate any info about the music.
