MelMacPink and HoopDrum will be hosting a day of hooping workshops in Asheville.

SUNDAY, NOV 9 at Terpsicorps Studio

1 - 3:30 ~ Beginner's Hoopdance Workshop with Melanie

Learn, feel and explore grace in a custom crafted fitness hoop during this Introduction to Hoopdancing Workshop. Join Melanie MacNeil aka 'melmacpink' from Asheville Hoops (www.ashevillehoops.com) in a workshop designed to teach the fundamentals of hypnotic Hoopdancing. Learn to explore moving with a hoop not only on your hips but all over the body! Class will include introductions, history of hoopdancing, warmups, hoops basics, hoop games, a hoop jam, a cool down session and finish class with a special performance not to missed! Melmacpink brings over a decade of experience of Kundalini Yoga, Firespinning and Hoopdancing to the class and provides both group as well as one on one instruction. Hoopdancing is an exellent core strengthening and cardiovascular workout; a great balance to any yoga practice!

3:30 - 6 pm ~ Twins workshop (using two hoops simultaneously) with Jewels

Double your meditative pleasure! Strengthen and balance your hoop practice by using two hoops simultaneously. This workshop will focus on refining basic core skills, tightening both horizontal and vertical planes and off-body movements. All levels welcome. Some small twins provided. Sections of this workshop will feature live music by HoopDrum's Scott Crews, an innovator of rhythms favored by those fond of flow.

$45 for one or $80 for both workshops.
