With this deep tissue massage, it balances your metaphysical energies along with yogic stretches. It is perhaps offen commented by the students and clients that is among the most intensive massages available. This is for someone with the intention of having more then just a typical oil rub.

Yoga not just as a practice but is a way of being.
An ancient Indian school of philosophy advocating and prescribing a course of physical and mental disciplines for attaining liberation from the material world and union of the self with the Supreme Being.
Many of us enjoy the practice of yoga as it has many benefits. It is important to have a regular practice to maintain the body and ensure progression. An aspect of yoga is to expand our awareness, so this is what we should be in our minds at all times, always being aware of your actions and trying to understand the root of the reaction. We should not blame others or situations for our reactions; we are solely responsible.
Yoga teaches us how to conduct ourselves, if we do not honor that, then we show disrespect to the tradition of yoga. If our gurus (spiritual masters) are so important to us, then every action that we conduct should honor their teachings and philosophy at all times. There are several styles of yoga; many of these have specific characteristics which reflect a particular teacher's approach. Like individuals, styles or schools of yoga have their own personalities and approaches to practicing asanas. Posture, breath, slow and rhythmic movements, philosophy or a combination of many factors distinguishes
each different style of yoga. Although the basic asanas and breathing exercises remain the same, how they are done, in what order, and where attention is focused while doing them
constitute the main differences among the many schools. Regardless of your age or fitness level, you can find a style that will appeal to you and be most appropriate for your particular body or personality type.

Personal yoga program and yoga therapy is done for individuals for the maximum benefit incorporating philosophy, nutrition, diet for physical and mental conditioning. Teacher training in various styles of yoga are also available.

Yoga Styles

Ashtanga yoga.
Ashtanga yoga is a separate path founded by Sage Patanjali, this is also known as Raja Yoga. Patanjali wrote Ashtanga Yoga in the form of concise 196 Sanskrit verses known as Yoga Sutras about 2500 years ago. The approach is to discipline the mind, emotions, and thoughts and then reach the higher states of realization.
This is 8 step paths, starting with Yamas (social discipline), Niyama (Self discipline), Asanas (Body postures), Pranayama (Breath control), Pratyahara (Sense withdrawal), Dharana (Concentration), Dhyan (meditation), Samadhi (salvation).
Classes arranged on request.

Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga.
The Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga system is a rigorous practice comparable to the training of an elite athlete. Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga represents the most intensive form of yoga. The purpose of this continual flow of action is to create heat which produces a cleansing or detoxifying effect on the body. Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga places equal emphasis on strength, flexibility and stamina. Many fitness enthusiasts who thrive on intense workouts prefer this style. This style is often called "Power Yoga".
Drop in classes available 8AM to 10 AM daily.

Hatha Yoga
Hatha yoga is made up of Ha and Tha.
Ha is the pingala nadi, sun principle, related to physical energy, stress response, sympathetic nervous system, heat, male energy and the left brain. Tha is the ida nadi, moon principle, related to mental energy, relaxation, parasympathetic nervous system, cold, female energy and the right brain. So therefore Hatha means to balance Ida and Pingala Nadis. To balance the mental and physical, male and female, sun and moon, body and mind. Patanjili yoga sutras had first recorded mention of yoga in 200 BC the tantrics used it in their practices then when the hatha yoga pradipika and gherand samhita sufaced. Some say 300 to 400 AD but others say practices evoved around 800 to 1600 AD.
The approach is to purify the body, to purify the psychic passages, remove the blockages to pranic energy flow & control the Pranic energy. Hatha Yoga mainly talks about Asanas, 8 types of Pranayama, 10 Mudras for reversing the aging and immortality and Bandhas for locking the Prana inside. The preparation for Hatha Yoga is Shatkarmas (Cleansing techniques).Hatha yoga comes from Tantras, it is a tradition which was founded by Adinath (Lord Shiva), mainly propagated by great sage Matsyendranath and then Gorakshanath. The Hatha yoga was developed and spread during 5th to 13th Century.
The main books available as follows.
Hatha Yoga Pradipika - Sage Swatmaram
Gherand Samhita- Sage Gherand
Goraksha Shatakam - Sage Gorakshanath
Yoga Taravali - Adi Shakaracharya
Hatha Ratnavali
Shiva Samhita

Reiki:

Every aboriginal culture has its own methods of healing. Healing through hands has been always apart of all civilizations. There is alot of controversy about Reiki and its origin. The knowledge of Reiki comes from the vedic tradition where the Buddhists adapted to Reiki and further developed it. In the 18th century, Dr.Mikao Usui from Japan learned the Reiki techniques from the Buddhists. Making it apart of the Japanese culture and adding their own style. The Americans later learned it from Usui's students further developing it into Karuna Reiki. Sivadas can give the maximum scientific explanation and the logic involved in Reiki.
