I ate escargot once, does that count? I was the nastiest thing I've ever eaten. -

Sun, May 4, 2008 - 8:53 AMNever ate a bug on purpose, but I have consumed several. As a kid, riding my bike, some king of fairly large bug, japanese beetle or about that size, flew right in my mouth as I was riding down hill at breakneck speed. It was way in the back of my mouth and I swallowed it by reflex practically before I realized what the deal was.
Other bugs have been gnats or similar when they swarm at my favorite fishing spot. -

I swallowed two bugs today (that'll teach me not to sing loudly while gardening in bug season). Other than that, I don't think I've ever deliberately eaten a bug. Oh and: hullo! -

Mon, May 5, 2008 - 11:12 AMOne summer, a long time ago, I was riding a friend's horse bareback. It was 16 hands high and part draft horse, so it was as wide as it was tall. Of course, it's mane had been shaved off, so there was nothing to hang on to and my legs were doing the splits just trying to ride him. We were racing up a hill and my horse was so rough and bouncing me every which way and I was laughing...with my mouth open. A fly flew in and yep, instinctively I swallowed and heard it buzzing all the way down my throat. Then I lost my balance on the horse and fell off bouncing on my heiner three times before ending up feet over weasel. -

lemme tell ya the furst summer aftur i came to live with the foodslaves wuz the best evur! one day out back in the yard alla these bugs startud just diggin ther way up outta the ground an they wuld crawl a cuple feet up a tree or the fence or anything an then they split open an crawled outta ther old dirty skin that wuz just brown an yukky but ther new skin wuz cleen an shiny an they had wings an reely cool red eyes!
but yu kno what the best part wuz? just fur kiks i tried bitin one an holee dog in hevun they were delishuss an tasty an had a nice crunchy textyur too an i culdnt beeleev it!!!
the foodslaves said the bugs were sum kinda 17 yeer locusts or sikaydas an i dont care wut yu call em they were graaaate! bak then i wuz still tryin to put on wate cuz i wuz starved pretty bad by the old meen an evul twoleggurz so foodslave mom an dad let me eat a zillion cicadas (dad fixed spellin) evury day an i gained wate an my fur got exxtra shinee an i think i culd even heer an see bettur!
i wuz very dissapoynted cuz no mattur how much i tried to tell the twoleggurz about cicada delishusness they nevur evun ate one.
foodslave dad did talk about how my poop wuz packe full of cicada wings an leggz an speshully a tun of them littul red eyes!
