in "ask, aunt bea"? What does that comma mean? Is it telling Aunt Bea to ask or is it more like aunt bea, in the same voice I use to Morgan when I know he wants money, saying "ask" (with a silent "already")? So should it be "Ask," aunt bea.?

Really, I have never noticed that comma. Is it new?

I was one of them that ask,ed about this way back then.
I don't recall getting a solid answer. If my rememberators are right, I think the thread went west after about the fifth or sixth response.
Par for the course here in Mayberry. We can't keep track of who said what because who's sayin' what about what was said about who said what. What? Did I say that? (if you understand this, quit drinking - you've had one too many - or, have another'n. Climb in, sit down, strap in and shut up, you ain't seen nothin', yet!)

Any more I just goes on and doesn't ask. (Pops open another'n and pets kitty)
