...so asking you can't be any worse than asking the tech support people employed by Norton/Symantec.
I've got what seems to be a phantom file download and install occuring whenever my computer is on. This *pseudo update* runs every second that the computer is on. Hell, it might even be going to town even without the benefit of electrical current...who knows. Anyway, I've had it up to my eyeballs with tech support people who may be world class tech geniuses but are, ultimately, functionally illiterate when it comes to English. What good is all that tech knowlege if there is no means to make it comprehensible?
So, average dude, what do you know about Norton/Symantec products? Got any suggestions for how to tame my seemingly run-amok Symantec Update?

Sun, November 29, 2009 - 4:03 PMDelete and get micro trends. Norton does to much for most folks and most don't configure it. So it does way to much all the time. It's like only needing a Ford Fusion and they gave you a BMW. More care and attention than needed. The old saying is "KEEP IT SIMPLE", But have virus/spyware protection. Save computing is important as safe sex...well almost
