Should the questioner lead with my personal favorite "Got any change?" I smile, jedi wave with two fingers and reply "Change comes from within." That really pisses them off and I feel like I've given them sage advice.
Should the person ask for a smoke or anything else, I'll usually shake my head with a sad face and say "not tonight man" or "No thanks, I'm fine."
So I don't often share with the homeless. Not unless there's something in it for me (which I occassionally ask - great Marvin Gaye impersonator working Milwaukee by the way) or if I just have that gifting mood.

I'm strangely ok with not being the best at anything but being "extra-ordinary" at many things. I reflect on my job, money, house clothes and get envious of others but then I take into account how little effort I put forth to get what I've got and how happy I am with what I've got and I feel good. And I'm dead sexy.
