In my life there have been a wide range of men. In my childhood was a pervert that still managed to always provide a nice home and plenty of food on the table. His son, my little brother, a control freek but will do anything he can to help when his big sister needs help. And my ex husband, though not a perfect man (I'm also not a perfect woman) was always willing to help out around the house and much more. Sometimes he did more than his share.

Men are fantastic creatures. Yet they are not all alike. Some are bulging with visible muscle and some hide their strength within their heart or mind or both. They are brother's, sons, friends, lovers, husbands and protectors. As in the world of nature, some walk alone and some are doting fathers. But all are worth the respect of those who have benefited from thier best qualities and learned that dealing with their shortcomings is worth the end rewards.

No, wolfie, you should not give without receiving and you should not expect disrespect for being strong enough to reach out and request a taste of thanks. Patting the thick fur and sending him on his way, hoping the strut is back in the step.
