Political Statement or Performace Art?

I know it may not surprise anyone, but It's not often that I am asked my political views.
I think many Burningman participants save their political worries outside the trash fence, but still there are a few who take democracy to heart and with this year's theme , an election year is a great time to re evaluate our political perspectives.

The answer to your question , I am almost worried to say is,
neither.

I don't vote in public official elections.

I know.. I know.. If you don't vote you can't bitch but, the truth is I don't bitch.

It is my personal belief that whoever wins any election is fucked and deserves to win. Fucked becuase they inherient a system of govenment that failure in the making. I think the country is beyond political help. In fact, I think that people who continue to vote are prolonging the realization that are our energies are better spent actully working on local sustaniment.
Giving a political system enough power to toss money from one side of the rich to the other is not my idea of sound patriotism.

I do vote on local issues where there is clear evidence to suggest our tax doallrs are actully being spent for our benefit. But political elections enpower the elected elite to pay themselves for sharing money with their friends first and then serving the public interest second.
I refuse to interfere with this systems demise. If people are stupid enough to vote vote on faith, they deserve what they get. Ruplublicans can sopend all they money they want on weapons and corperate greed. One dauy the poor will wake up and stop giving them money to spend. And the democrates, don't get me started.
I kinda liked the green party till they started getting involved in education.

Me.. I've got a broader vision. It's easy. I'm really tall.

But I will say this.

If I were to vote in an political election I would get drunk before I voted,
bring a bottle with me while I was voting
and then drink more when I was finished.

It's the end of the world and we know it
and I feel fine.
