I had never done any acting before I moved to Atlanta. Oh, I had an uncle who was a career character actor, and I often thought, just once, I'd like to see myself on a movie screen....but never took any action in that direction.

After I moved to Atlanta, an opportunity came up for me to be an 'extra', and I grabbed it....and the director said, "I have a small part you'd be perfect for, if you are interested", so I said, "Why not?". Anyway, since then, I've had a talking line in a commercial, 5 minutes of talking in a local cable TV show playing a lawyer, and you may see me before too much longer on your TV in the next Verizon Network commercial.

I bring this up, not to toot my own horn, but to take a look at my natal versus relocated charts...I'm putting them in the tribe gallery.

Natally, I have Sun opposed MC, Saturn squaring both. Venus doesn't make any aspect to the MC. Uranus is in the 4th. Mercury conjunct Mars are squaring the Ascendant.Doesn't sound much like show business, even as a hobby, does it?

But Relocated, Venus (in Leo) trines the MC, and so does Jupiter. Saturn and Sun are out of orb aspecting that MC. Uranus has moved into the self-expressive 5th house. And Mercury/Mars no longer square the Ascendant.

While working on a relocation for financial matters, I figured out that a good place would be where the
Point of Fortune would be in Taurus and aspected by its ruler Venus.

I found it difficult though to find such places on an astrocartography map as usually there is no Point of Fortune Line
and the zodiac sign boundaries are not drawn either.

The Point of Fortune is calculated with the ASC. As ASC is changing in relocation, i think a POF Line would look a bit
different from other sorts of lines....

Does anyone know of a program drawing sign boundaries and POF Lines ?

Stirred by all the news emerging re escalating Tibetan protest against the Chinese oppressors, I looked up the astrocartography. Using the celestial zodiac, there's a Chiron/IC line moving right across Lhasa. Okay, that's the wound the Chinese are inflicting on the traditional lifestyle and living environment of the Tibetans, that the latter are rather hepless in healing at this point.
Using the geodetic zodiac, I found a Pluto/IC line exactly over Lhasa, which makes me fear the worst. The first escalations took place while Mars/MC was active, and as I'm writing this, parts of Lhasa appear to be on fire. Tomorrow (March 14), the Moon/MC line will pass across, perhaps a good moment for the rest of the world to make known their support for the Tibetan people? Whether or not that happens, I think there'll be more people in the streets of Lhasa than ever before since the invaders moved in.
Just wanted to share this. Any thoughts?

How much more possible is it to make beautiful friendships with people from Venus lines, sell paintings on Jupiter lines, end up flaming with people on Mars lines?

Hi everyone!

I was just thinking about relocation, and how - in spite of my being a Scorpio - I feel very much like a Virgo in my present location, in which I have a Virgo Ascendant. In my natal chart, Virgo is partly in the 11th and on the 12th, so by moving here, I have brought the 11th house (by degree) to the Ascendant, meaning that I have brought the house of "hopes and dreams" to the Ascendant. The 12th would mean making the "unconscious" visible, or conscious. (People take me for a Vigo here with my Virgo Ascendant. They are always commenting that I'm organized, efficient, content with my own company, clean, fastidious, nit-picking, LOL!). Of course, any planets coming to the Ascendant will be more powerful as well.

I moved from Montreal to Edmonton - 4 provinces and 2 time zones west. I was thinking that a person could move far enough west to bring their 10th, 11th, or 12th houses to the Ascendant, or east to bring their 1st, 2nd, or 3rd houses to the Ascendant. (The Ascendant is a point in the chart, and is not to be confused with the 1st house.)

Has anybody here moved far enough east or west of your birth place to have brought these houses to the Ascendant? Do you find that if you visit your birth place for a time that your natal Ascendant reasserts itself?

Although I've been living in western Canada for 29 years now (Saturn return! and my Saturn line runs through this location!), when I do visit Montreal or locations close to it, my Libra Ascendant does "feel" prominent again. I am certainly more social than I am out west. In the west, I exemplify the Virgo energies (live like a hermit, with a few trusted friends around) but back east I am far more outgoing, as I was when I was growing up.

I have been contemplating a move even further west to British Columbia (I have to say, this is God's Country. So beautiful it's worth a visit!), and this would give me an Ascendant of 3 Leo at the coast - bringing my 10th house to the Ascendant. I suppose this would highlight career and public reputation matters.

What are your thoughts or experiences with the relocated Ascendant?

Hi Everyone!

This is just a reminder for everyone creating astrological charts on the computer that Daylight Saving Time is now in effect in Canada and the US - 11 March 2007.

As most of the astrological software contains pre-programmed information about the time zones and DST, and will automatically change the time, you will have to double check any charts you run for Canada and the US for those born after 02:00 am March 11, 2007 and use the manual time zone function. You will need to SUBTRACT one hour on charts for individuals born when DST is in effect .

This morning I tested this by running a chart on www.astro.com for a hypothetical person born 7 am in Edmonton, AB on 14 March 2007, and it was still showing standard time. You can change the time zone by selecting the "Use Manual Time Zone" check box. A drop-down list will present you with all time zones, and you can choose the one for your area that shows the DST.

Not sure what other software will display, but it is a good idea to check.

I was given an article from a newspaper over the Christmas break, about astrocaetography and relocation. OK - move to a new town and we know that the lines of latitudes and crossings will be different.

But what if the place concerned is a big place - like, say, London? Well, according to this article, it is possible to fine-tunew such a reading so that it can be ascertained, for example, that Ealing may be a better place to get your pad that Kensington or Hackney, and that it may be better to work in the branch north of the river and east of Greenwich than the reverseof these.

True?

OK I am sure it could be done with somewhere like LA, which sprals out hundreds of miles, amking prognostications about its lines - for one lousy point of latitude and longitude ridiculous. But London is surely smaller than that.

I have Solar Maps on my PC and have certainly checked out serveral cities - so far strictly virtually. Anyone got any further insights on this kind of fine-tuning. I am not at home right now, so cannot check my PC to see f it 'does' Ealing, Chelsea or whatever as well as the one blanket lat-long for London.
