I've had many debates with regards to which exactly is the most feminine of signs, and more specifically, which would be the most feminine women of the zodiac, and which would be the most masculine men of the zodiac?
I haven't found clear information in this regard, anywhere. Some state that Cancer is the most feminine of signs, others that Pisces.

water and earth signs are yin -air and fire are yang .
each mode and element expresses both

It is sort of absurd really to try and figure out because just look through the female icons and you will get a mixed bunch of information and not everyone has the same idea as to what is considered feminine or masculine.I tend to think it takes combinations of astrological factors to determine it.

We can write a list of famous women and then look up their astrological data .

I don't think famous people count at all-if you're referring to feminine "looks",because most celebrities have had plastic surgery just to fit into more feminine traits(even marilyn monroe),and by feminine I meant which sign has the purest "yin" energy-introverted,secretive,receptive,reflexive,emotional,intuitive etc.
I don't know if an abundance of feminine signs in her chart would make a woman actually LOOK more feminine, although I've read many examples of women with strong Aries influences, and they definitely seemed more athletic-like,than petite and fragile...anybody know some examples?

Well as energy.... Cancer and Pisces differ in expression.... In Yangy-Yinish Lango....

As Cancer interalizes it more-so.... Because Cancer is about instant gradification, only person to go is towards home, and self.

Pisces to me in a sense... Is more connected towards the ideal dream, striving to make perfection, because of the opposite sign being Virgo. Both signs deal with endings.

I always think of it because of how fast the Moon moves through the signs... and how fast the tides change.... Also how close the Moon is, and its size even...

In the old-school astrology books I have laying around... they talk about how there is a striking resemblince of the energy that can be produced through the signs Cancer and Pisces.... as both can be mistaken for one or the other...

I thought it was pretty intresting.... as how the Moon is related to the Oceans, as is Neptune. Then Jupiter and Neptune towards Cancer.

Pisces is connected to the cosmos way from outside, inside...

      Cancer is linked inside, outside...

I have seen that also in woman who have alot of Aries energy.... But also seen the exact opposite too!

Feminine signs... Receptive signs supposely are.... Cancer, Taurus, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn, and Pisces...

To me the most feminine signs are.... Libras, Geminis, Cancers and Pisces..... Air signs seem to be going on a softer tone if you ask me..

          A-Wall

have u checked their charts thoroughly?Cuz I have Gemini friends who are feminine, too, but either have Venus conjunct their Ascendant, either have a water sign Rising
But,again, femininity and masculinity in our society varies, according to trends, and planetary positions, among other aspects...but I haven't met any air signs(as in-having charts "heavily" charged with air influence) who match the "yin" description-they're all sociable,outgoing,flirty,novelty-seekers,and some might appear feminine because of a soft charm, and social grace-but that's not the real thing,it's more like...the honey they put out to attract the flies...air signs are brain-oriented and purely logical, and logical thinking isn't(unfortunately)seen as a feminine trait,by most.

Well when I think of logical thinking.... I tend to favor Earth signs for that one....Air signs to me all deal with some sort of relationship towards something else, never completely focused on themselves. As you get the Sun at Fall in Libra, and Determent in Aquarius..

With Gemini.... You got brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles.
With Libra... You got relationships... opposites coming together.
Then Aquarius.... Friendships, and social awareness.

I have known quite a few Geminis who are only outgoing, and sociable in their inner circle.... Though the Gems I run into seem to have Sun, Mercury, Moon in Gemini.... So the Moon is pretty close...

Most of the girly-girls I can think of are Libras. The most masculine men I've come across have been Aries.
Since those signs are opposites, it kind of makes senses. Especially when you consider the influence of venus and mars on each sign.

Cancer is the most feminine of signs, as the Moon embodies feminity itself.

(the same goes for leo and masculinity)

      And the story is endeth.

          Louis..

          What about Pisces-the end(death),and Aries(birth)-the beginning?-those are 2 very yin-yang aspects of this Universe)

And Arians are generally the real "manly men" of the zodiac-the embodiment of everything masculine-courage,enthusiasm,competitive drives, strong ambitions, egotism, almost animal-like sexuality, and, overall, the "crusader",or "warrior" profile, whereas,Leos are more like performers, they lack that Cardinal influence which makes Aries men embark on actual "pursuits",and "conquering quests".
Leos, being fixed, are more inclined to sit put and attract "audiences",and everything they need, which,I believe,is also pointed out in many descriptions of the sign-they need constant attention, and that is the main reason why they cannot remain single, unlike Aries,or Sagittarius, the other fire signs...
On the other hand, with the Cancer and Pisces women,it's the other way around-that is,Cancer women, being under Cardinal influence, will be more likely to harbor ambitions, and that "mothering instinct" is likely to make them more down-to-earth and into money matters(because of the strong need of security);whereas,a Pisces woman(The Witch of the Zodiac),being under Mutable influence, will be more capable of abandoning herself to her feelings, and be completely detached from all earthly matters....

            sandra,

well, sure, i was talking about the planets, originally, and its of utmost importance to have in mind that thinking that, for example,

            mars = aries = 1st house

is absolutely nonsense! mars and aries may be related in a way or so, but theyre not synonyms of any sort. and that thing of assigning "natural" houses in order to every sign, is something quite new, really, and sort of contradicting

youre telling me the 5th, children, come before marriage, the 7th, and, even sex, the 8th?

            see what i mean? (=

anyways, yeah, planets. and whatever they represent. yes, speaking of aries, well, its not a surprise the suns exalted there, huh? but, yeah, speaking of masculinity, the Sun is the embodiment (sp?) of it all. signs are only correlations.

as far as the Moon goes, well, everything (or almost everything) we regard with feminity falls under its domain. feelings, sentimentality, receptiveness, comprehension, understanding, being taken care of, breasts & breast feeding, the night, eetcc...

but anyways, this is just some sort of rule i read and that sticked with me, so as a stubborn aquarius, i wont change my mind, heh

sandra, i disagree that the natural order of the houses is nonsensical, and as one example, the 5th relates to more than just children --and i see the 10th and 12th as 2 other houses that could relate to kids.
but back to the question, pisces, cancer and taurus seem "most" feminine to me --in no particular order

well, there are so many other factors to determine one's feminity (life's experiences first & foremost) BUT with that being said, i have to agree w/ "whome?" because all of my friends who are Libras are very girly (into pink & makeup, etc).

for me, i am a Sag/Monkey and although i LOVE shoes (hehe) i am very much tom-boy and would much rather be in jeans/tshits/flipflops (or my doc martins) LOL [ps: i loathe the colour pink]

masculine men, for me personally, i have found Leos & Virgos. just speaking from personal experience :)

      peace,
      Steff

Libra men are the femenine guys of the pack. To this date -- I have only met two libra males I would consider masculine. The first is my cousin wich has a pisces moon and is a fat and strong powerlifter. The other one has a cancer moon. Ironicly, the other one is today one of my best friends and is my astrological opposite (sun, moon, venus and mercury). We used to be mortal enemys from kindergarden till the ninth grade when we gradually started to click better. Love the guy :P

The two dual gendered signs are Sagittarius and Gemini, fusion and fission, I reckon Scorpio and Taurus are the most masculine, and the opposites of Capricorn, the sea goat, and Cancer, being the most feminine. Cheers, Ulric.

      Hard to say!
Cancer & the moon r very feminine, yet what if one had ones moon in aries. I guess u r talking about the sun's position or asc. Or just the sign. Pisces is feminine yet neptune is represented by a man, although he (neptune) did steal this realm from his female counterpart. Maybe the moon remains purely feminine due to artemis's desire to remain virginal & never marry. Even venus such a feminine sign is related to libra a supposedly masculine sign. So then Maybe Taurus is most feminine since it's ruled by venus, but share with masculine libra. The moon in some cultures is actually a masculine force. I think it would be hard to say which is most feminine. Masculine however aries, leo, sagittarius, 4 sure( men seem to be good at staking their ground & keeping it). Libra, gemini & aquarius seem to be the most intersex planets if u ask me.:)

Alchemy-what exactly do u mean by "intersex signs"?As in androginy?
Hmmm, well, like I specified somewhere in the beginning of the thread,by feminine I mean yin energy-oriented.
And yes,the fire signs are undoubtedly masculine.

"Cancer & the moon r very feminine, yet what if one had ones moon in aries. "- I wasn't referring to the position of a particular planet,or the Ascendant, but the overall-influence;that is,looking at ppl who have a predominant sign influence in their chart-as pure a influence as u could get from one sign(not element).
For instance,I have an acquaintance that has most of her personal planets in Gemini(Sun,Moon,Mercury and Venus) and she's as close as I've got to the pure Gemini traits-always in motion, youthful and androgynous in appearance,witty,spontaneous,flickery,curious-a bumble-bee...

And I also know some men with heavy Scorpio influence who are incredibly manly, manlier than all those Leos out there, that just expect women to fall to their feet, and serenade them under their balconies...so,dunno...

Yeah I meant androgeny=intersex. I guess the hardest to genderise.Scorpios ruler pluto is a masculine force so maybe this affects.
I find it hard to absolutly say what's the most feminine. Cancer would seem so with rulerships but I know some really bossy unyin like cancers. I think sidereal can confuse energies to. It's a good topic makes one think, but Im not sure if I have a straight answer. :)
