For those who have been following the 'who-are-your favourite heroes and villains' thread......

I have a birthday for Lisbeth Salander, the genius computer hacker heroine of the tale, who is somewhat socially challenged, to the point of initially being declared 'mentally incompetent.'

She has her own version of justice that is not necessarily that of society.

Now, what kind of astrological signature might you expect to find in a chart, however make-up of a heroine like this?

The one I have actually seems to be wuite appropriate. Here's a clue - no Sun/Pluto though.

No Sun/Pluto!? Well, there must be some Pluto somewhere or Scorpio and/or 8th House at least, right? Maybe Moon/Pluto or Mars/Pluto (or Scorpio Mars or her Moon, Sun, or Mars in the 8th)?

Was this birthday mentioned in the book?

It is mentionedin the second book. I will try and put a chart up if I can find a way to save and upload it.

No, no Sun/Pluto. I am not always convinced that such birthdays would 'work' - I don't findthe 'birthday' Rowling gives for somehf her characters particualrly credible, for example. Others are welcome, of course, to disagree on thatone.

No - what we do see in this 'chart' is a Grand Corss between Sun. Moon, Mars and Uranus - appropriate for a fighter, wouldn't you say? Sun in Tarus, Aquarius Moon and Mars in Leo. I thought the Aquarius Moon was appropriate in the case ofsomeone who is discredited to the extent her character is to begin with by her dodgy childhood 'psychiatric' history.

So, no Sun/Pluto after all, but anyway, I think the writer's chart is the most important thing anyway.

What we do have instead is a Mercury/Pluto oppositon and thisisthe 'chart' of a hacker. A spy, in fact. Pluto in Libra being 9 degrees away frm the NNode.

Ah, Mercury-Pluto and Aquarius Moon (and that grand cross) do seem like they could be fitting! Aquarius Moons can do that tough, detached thing and a lot of the ones I know have pretty remarkable coping skills, so I could definitely see that. And the Pluto/Mercury does lend itself very well to someone who can mentally focus in on the dark details of things and who can spy and hack - as you mentioned. I'd still figure she'd have to have Scorpio Rising or Pluto on her Ascendant, though...

Oh yes, she is still very Plutonic.

And another clue: by the second book, she has managed to become a miillionaire, if not billionaire. The word for 'Pluto' originally derives from 'Plutos' meaning 'wealth.'

Funnily enough I encountered a story about a teenage virus writer, who sounds very much like Salander, but minus the 'take on bad guy' dimension. She could kick-box, sounded very aggressive, and owned a ferret. She sounded very Scorpionic/Plutonic too, but she didn't sound heroic in the least, just mean. For example she suggested that 'all stupid people should require a licence to use a PC.'

..anyway, I read the lastin the trilogy. I do think the birth date she is ascribed in the book is suitable enough for her, with its Grand Crossin Fixed signs,

              Lisbeth Sander is my hero!

I also imagined her to have a Scorpio moon, with possibly a virgo sun.

She does look a bit Virgo-y. And seems Mercurial.

Actually, as for physical appearance only, she also reminds me a little bit of a Taurus Sun/Scorpio Rising lady I know.

                  Do you mean the actress?

Yeah, the actress and/or the movie character. That's just what I get from her physical appearance. I'm not sure if it's from the actress in character only or her in general that I particularly get this impression, as I've not seen many other images of her.

Wait... okay, just looked at some images of her not from the movies, and I think it might be particularly based on how she looks in character in the movies.

I thought the actress looked a litle too 'mature' for the role. In the story, Lizbeth Slander has a very slight, boyish figure, looks like a child, though there is nothing childlike about her ability to emerge from destruction and wield power in her own right - that is pure Pluto. Her dislike of social pleasantries spells a Plutonic factor to me too.

I havn't seen the movie made ofthe film or the actor, though.
