Welcome to Sqaturn in Virgo!

Hi all,

As most of you know, I've been away for the summer, but now that we have just about entered the autumn equinox, I'm back! Hope you all had a great and healthy summer - in spite of all the wacky energies!

On September 3rd Saturn entered Virgo for a two-and-a-half year visit, and I don't know about most of you, but I have been cleansing, cleansing, cleansing! Virgo rules the elimination in part (digestive system) so attention to proper diet and nutrition will be the order of the day. That is one aspect of Virgo, and the other relates to the Mercury rulership - which partly rules the nervous system. To me, this means that it is a good time to have a "Stress Management Plan," as Virgo can get caught up in all the little details of life, putting stress on their systems through worry. I'd recommend doing all those things which are joyful and calming, to keep stress in order. Saturn here will highlight our need to look after our health - especially because it is in Virgo and associated with the 6th house in this regard.

Lately, most of us have experienced the shifting energies and have seen many changes in the outer world that can be stressful, so it is a good time for Saturn to be transiting through Virgo and reminding us to stay healthy. Not only physical health, but mental health is also highlighted because of the Mercury rulership.

Later this year (mid-December), Saturn will receive some favourable energy from Jupiter, which will enter Capricorn and form a harmonious aspect with Saturn by sign, and then next year by aspect. Then in late January 2008, Pluto will enter Capricorn as well, aspecting Virgo harmoniously. This will make it easier to look after our health and balance our energies nicely, keeping them grounded (Virgo and Capricorn are both earth signs.)

Any other thoughts about Saturn in Virgo, or health experiences so far, even though it has just entered the sign?

:) Viki

I am enjoying the change in sign.
      I do feel great !
Saturn Transits venus and my progressed moon by square and conjoins Pluto -I have become more modest in my spending and practical in my dietary and excercise habits -with the new sign change of for the progressed moon it has cause a renewal and change in otherwise prior poor health habits for me.

My house is a mess because of repairs and I actually woke up on the hour all night fretting about why I didn't get up and try to straighten it up .
Today, I have to stay home and clean up and put back and find stuff -for some reason and this is highly embarrassing and new for me to discuss but I think that I have been having compulsive behavior -I keep getting the urges to check things, papers and documents then my wallet for DR license and such. it feels good when I check my wallet five times in a row ???!
It is insane and at the same time I can rationalize it -with the shift and change of saturn's sign this has calmed down some but I just don't know I am still doing it -I am humoring myself about all of this at this point. it started happening about nine months ago.
I am not sure what astrologically is causing this weird mental health issue in myself .

Sounds like a Saturn-Pluto thingl. Saturn is applying to my natal Pluto...actually, I have been geekily checking up details about various diseases and pandemics over the internet....just curious about why the break out when they do.

I am most definitely feeling the "back to school" vibe....

here's a list of Saturn/Virgo keywords that I made a few days ago:

              healthcare check-ups
nutrition, in general & improvements/challenges in the body's absorption of & ability to utilize nutrients
              exercise & workout schedules
              service crises
testing & improvement of service oriented industries
exploitation of the work force &
exposure of the consequences of worker abuse/exploitation
attention to pets & companion animals
              attention to hair & nails
              focus on apprenticeships
              improved crafting techniques

              love all-ways,

I'm a month away from my Saturn in Virgo Return, in my 6th house (Aries rising). Let me just say that I've always had the typical Saturnian health problems -- I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis at the age of 7, which has always been one of the biggest obstacles in my life. I've also had dental problems for as long as I can remember.

Well, this Saturn in Virgo time has not proven to be easy for me!!! Since it is also my Saturn return, I've seen my health go from bad to worse, and I think surgery is going to be a necessity in the next couple of years.

This couldn't have come at a worse time -- I'm in my second year of graduate school, studying to be a full-time ESL teacher -- a demanding job to say the least!! However, this aspect of my life is going along swimmingly -- this is where I have to say THANKYOU!! to my Saturn in Virgo for giving me the ability to work long and had at my goals.

I know I;m supposed to dread my Saturn Return, but I'm actually glad it is here already, so I can just get it over with. Also, I'm definite that I will be shown in no uncertain terms just how much will I have to succeed, since it is looking like my health will not make it easy for me. However, I'll make it!!!!

Is anyone else going through their Saturn in Virgo return right now?

How funny that there is a discussion dedicated to this! Great! Yes i am also going through saturn rtn in virgo in my tenth house. For me it relates to work/study as i recently started a phd in nutrition (im a saturn in virgo) and the work committments are just about to hit me like a sledge hammer, in fact they already have. Best of all though, sat rtn brought me a beautiful blessing of my first baby daughter as well - so i am definately stepping into a new sphere of responsibility thats for sure!
Sorry to hear that you are having problems with your health Rachael...sounds like u have steel...youll get through
