"Ninth House: In their direction of interest these people have a talent for finding and understanding basic laws, general principles and the underlying significance of a situation; the root, basic meanings which are often hidden from others. They also can work with these in ways that are quite unbelievable, synthesizing them into more complex patterns, or finding ways to explain them to others in words that an ordinary person can understand. Or they may not use words as their medium but find some other way of communicating their in-depth understanding of symbols. It often comes out as a talent for simplifying technical explanations, an ability to “tune-in” on the current of today, a talent for really identifying with the audience, a desire to teach, or a fantastic ability to persuade (or mold public opinion.) They love challenges, are usually perceptive observers, good at ad-libbing, and outspoken with pronounced opinions. They have
a powerful need to seek others with the same philosophies and beliefs, and usually, an equally powerful need to convince nonbelievers to believe in them. Hi Kristin, I have a heavily aspected chiron as well and for me it works out as a wound of "not fitting in anywhere". I noticed this once again last year when transiting chiron was square my sun, causing my boss to (temporarily) degrade me "because you are too weird". I can assure you I'm not weird at all, I'm just not average. I suppose chiron is about where you stand out, and the more chiron aspects you have, the more you differ from the rest. Usually people don't feel comfortable with someone who's too different, so they sort of reject you in all sorts of ways. Especially when pluto is involved, people can get quite hostile - such as in our case with the pluto chiron opposition. I regard my many chiron aspects as special & sometimes rare talents. My chiron is in pisces as well. It comes in very handy in my work as a psychotherapist because I know ALL there is to know about pain & suffering. Name me one pain and I can tell you I have experienced it - unfortunately. I don't know about you but I suffered so much during my lifetime that by now I can endure just about anything. I just raise my shoulders and carry on.
