Saturn, the task master and an inescapable force to be reckoned with, and Pluto the planet of death and transformation in a harsh aspect. Wow, what a pair! The effects will be felt in the period of November 2009 - March 2010, and then from the 20th of July 2010 until late in the fall.

A Square to fear: The tough aspects between Saturn and Pluto are among the most destructive astral configurations. Along time, they have been accompanied by sudden events, political problems, economical bust, military conflicts, assassinations, serious accidents, natural catastrophes (earthquakes, tornadoes, drought, floods, meteorite falls, etc.).

Libra, the archetype of balance and fairness in aspect to Capricorn, the archetype of the dark Eros and all that society finds to be taboo. Saturn bringing to light the issues/lessons of fairness with ourselves and with others and Pluto looking to see where power is being abused and to empower those who have been oppressed.

At a personal level I fear it has to do with my Sun and Mercury in Libra in the 5th house and the transit of Pluto through my 7th house. I am a hopeless romantic. For the most part I view people through rose colored glasses. I believe the best in people even after they have treated me unfairly (Libra). I am in love with the idea of being in love. What could possibly be more grand!

I do hope after this aspect is over that I am not jaded...but instead I have a much better understanding of Love and the reciprocation thereof.
